First time I have seen it.

Also, I like claptraps. They are supposed to be annoying of course, but outside of Robolution, they really aren't pestering you that often.

I command thee bridge to descend!

I caught it three times last night, on Lifetime and the Food Network. That kind of commercial, I definitely don't mind. It just makes me more jazzed for Tuesday.

You mean Friday, because in an act of sympathy all you American players will not buy the game until it is released in Europe.

Well that is a bummer, and while I'd love to take one for the team, I don't think I can. I am weak.

Well, enjoy :)

I will stay away from all source of information about Borderlands 2 from Tuesday to Friday I think.

Anyway I hear Roland calling. Something about "guns over here".

Wow that looks terrible. Which is a shame since the actual game footage looks so good.

^ Yes, sadly, that is true. They didn't even use the same music from the video preview trailers, which would have helped. But at least they're trying to get the word out there.

To be honest, I'm not much of a fan of live action stuff, as real-life people seem clumsy to me. Image IPB

I also thought the live action trailer was the worst of them. Not bad... but a little too messy and random. Actually some of the gameplay videos are the best for me. There are some 10 minute ones without third party commentary on top of other commentary. Those really make me want to play the game.

Meh... I preordered from a store. Contemplating unpreordering and preordering again on Steam so I can play it a grand total of 30 minutes before bedtime next Thursday.

Probably a bad idea!

I predict a hyped up all-nighter happening lol. The delayed release date sucks, I thought just Australia was getting screwed having to wait until Thursday.

My Gamestop may have a midnight release, and I'd attend it. Dunno if I'd stay up to play it, but we'll see.

Nope. The standard is to release games on Tuesdays in the US and later in the rest of the world. If you ask why, you get told that "this is the way it has always been".

Anyway, I had better stay away from the midnight stuff. I don't want to sleep at work because I stayed up all night playing :)

Mine does, and I don't sleep until 4am anyway (can still wake up in 2 hours and function better than those that get 8 though). So playing I will be.

I'm relieved I'll actually have some time to play this before the weekend. Though regardless my friends are going to go on in the game without me soon after we start. Curse having responsibilities! I look forward to dismembering psycho midgets as Zer0. Those pesky bandits will never see my lethal projective smileys and sharp-wit haiku coming...

I never felt anything really negative about the Claptrap character. Yes those endlessly repeated lines and animations made me want to slaughter hordes of them (which DLC provided!) but I'm holding development laziness and oversights accountable for that instead of branding Claptrap as inherently obnoxious. As far as I'm concerned when Claptrap is intended to be funny and the joke isn't tirelessly repeated they generally succeed with the humor.

I started up a new playthrough over the weekend, and when I went to bed last night, I stopped at level 17. I don't think I'll be able to finish it before Tuesday. Image IPB

Here's hoping the PS3 version doesn't have the save glitch of the first one.

You're just not hardcore enough. Actually, I didn't get further in a weekend myself.

It's always funny starting over in Borderlands and realizing how incredibly annoying Moe and Marley are. And Bonehead for that matter. The balance is really messed up if you are soloing the first bit. The rest of the game is much, much easier.

Except for Mad Mel. Hardest boss in the entire game. By far.

Same here, I am so sick of delayed launch dates for us. As a result, I won't miss my workouts and I won't be tired at work. The horror!

Heheh, thanks. Image IPB

In my other playthroughs on PS3, I played co-op with my husband. Some enemies are quite a bit more challenging when you're by yourself!

I've done pretty well with not dying solo, but was simply not prepared for fighting the Roid Rage psycho and all the midget psychos in Sledge's Safehouse. I had a missile launcher, but it was the first time I'd used it in the game. I am sad to say that I died twice. By then, most of the enemies from the checkpoint had respawned, so I got to fight them on the way. But the third try was the charm. Then I got to re-fight everything on the way out, and then some. I'd forgotten about that fun part.

It took me a little bit to figure out how to take out the larva crab worms in the Lost Cave, but that's also the first time I used a shotgun in this playthrough...probably any playthrough, actually. I was mostly sticking to sniper rifles and repeaters. I tried out TK's Wave for the first time in any playthrough, and had to laugh. That thing is pretty dang fun. Mostly useless against those crab worms, but fun.

I’ve been hanging out almost exclusively over at Gearbox for the last week and a half. The excitement there is thick, and everyone is so nice. It’s quite a different mood there compared to the frenzy in this place just prior to ME3’s release.

Anyways, not much longer now. I’ll be in line at EBGames first thing tomorrow (no midnight launch) to pick up my ULCE and then it’s down to my den for two days. When all is said and done, I think I’m more excited for BL2 then ME3.

My mind is ready! I am looking forward to compare “notes” in here soon, but for the sake of the Europeans here, I’ll wait till next week.

Have fun everyone. Good shooting and may the Lootz be Yours!!
