I found the very same grenade.

Okay, here's a little odd piece of trivia, wish I had a screenshot...

When we hit sanctuary, we had to hand in a quest to Lt. Davis. Near him is a table that has a paper with one of those phone QR code thingies on it. I zoomed in with a sniper rifle, just super curious.

Has anyone seen this?

I'm really digging how the PC ****s the hammer of a revolver with each shot wild west style. ^_^

Me and my friends got kinda addicted to the slot machine game. hahaha

My first encounter with the one-armed bandit ended with a grenade to the mouth.

Come on! I matched three psychos!

Still haven't gotten 3 Marcus heads or Borderlands symbols though. I spent practically all of my money.

I may have a slight gambling problem.

For those of you on PC I'd like to propose an N7 SpecOps group as Steam Group for Borderlands, for those folks jumping ship on the ME3 MP.

Just finally got to Sanctuary last night. Had to wait to play until 9 p.m., but that's a whole other story. Anyway...

After visiting the shops, talking to some citizens and seeing some familiar faces (be sure to visit Marcus, and do his elemental weapons quest!), we went out into the wild to rescue a certain...someone. We left off right before the boss fight. I can't wait to see what it's like!

Oh, my point! We had to fight many goliaths, nomads, and several flavors of psychos and marauders along the way, and something quite humorous - well, and deadly - I have forgotten its exact name, but it's like a goliath, with a treasure chest attached to its back. A "Loot" something or other. Good lord, those were fun, and opening up the chest after each one was dead was icing on the cake.

I don't know what it is about the midgets this time around, but their dialogue is priceless. Image IPB Oh, and a word of caution - they seem to like hiding in chests!

That 'boss fight' you left off at is like the most awesome part of the game I've encountered so far. I wont spoil it but it made me incredibly nostalgic, and realizing I'd never be as awesome as that.

^ Oh wow, I can't wait to check it out! I'm going to have to, though. My husband has to work late again tonight, and we leave tomorrow morning at the arsecrack of dawn to catch a flight. We may be able to squeak it in tonight, but I probably shouldn't hold my breath.

If I have to wait until next week to see it, I'm going to be sad panda.

When I started my first character, I was poking around, looking at all of the character customization options, and noticed that Zer0 had a helmet that looked like an alien head of some kind. It must have been some kind of preorder bonus (or maybe I got it from B2 recognizing I had a saved B1 game?) Anyway, we got to fight the spider thingies that helmet came from last night. They have some good loot in their "piles". Namely Eridium.

Oh, crap. I think I used my Golden Key with my level 9 Axton, in my haste to loot Sanctuary. Image IPB

That can't be right, can it? There's a circular room in the area near Roland's place that had a big chest sitting there. Looks like the photo in that link, actually.

^Yeah the golden Key chest. Only get one key. I got two identical purple turtle shields from the quest (the kind that reduce health when equipped) so it was kind of a waste.

I suspect they'll try to sell people golden keys at some point or use them as promos. Looks like the chest can be reopened for more loot if you have more keys.

Yup thats the Borderlands 1 savegame bonus head for Zer0. all of those heads are taken from someone else in the games. I'm using the Dr. Tanis head for my Maya. Axton gets a Crimson Lancer head, and Sal gets a berserker helmet.

Have you guys encountered this super hard boss that will require 4 players and a very high level just to beat it? It was mentioned in one of the trailers or something.

Haven't seen anything like that. But then again I'm not a very high level. It may not spawn unless you have 4 players though. I saw something on the loading screens that implied enemies scaled to your team size. As does loot.

Ugh, no more golden key. That stinks.

It definitely scales. Enemies are quite a bit more difficult with more than one player. The ones that level up on their own are crazy. I actually laughed the first time I saw one morph into the level 2 version of itself.

I haven't seen that boss yet, either.

I remember that, was apparently worse than Crawermax the Invincible from the first game.

And in regards to your first post I haven't heard of Game doing that. Amazon UK sometimes did it if you were lucky. Regardless it should arrive tomorrow.

I should never have looked at the list of challenges. My brother and I spent about a good half-hour trying to jump on top of the Happy Pig Motel sign. First we couldn't get anywhere near it, then we were overshooting it by miles. I got it, though. He didn't. :P I'm guessing the next time we start up I'll be waiting and fiddling in the menus for a while as he keeps trying.

And I also wasted my golden key. I do like the gun I got out of it, though. A purple fire-element machine gun. Gave the other gun to my brother, a fire-element sniper rifle. He *says* when he uses his golden key he'll give me one of the things he gets, but we'll see.

I haven't taken on Crawmerax yet. I'll probably give it a try tonight so I have something to do until Borderlands 2 shows up tomorrow.

Since I got this game, the shortest play session has been 8 hours. The longest has been 13. It's nice to play something that's mostly good, honestly.

Well I finally got the game. Running and looking great on my PC at max everything.

I am playing as Salvador and am level 9 in Sanctuary at the moment. I loooove gunzerking, it really is amazing if you don't try to snipe with it at least. I am not even bothering to pick up ammo either.

Actually in general I just love the gameplay. So far it's looking like a winner!

PS: Enemies actually react to me using my action skill. At least I heard a nomad say "two guns? so what!" (right before he got blown to tiny pieces).

Yes the level of reactive chatter is a bit refresing and sometimes situationally funny. Although I still wish there was a Voice menu like in TF2 or Tribes. I like playing a chatterbox who keeps commenting on whats going on. I'll have to see about a soundboard thing for Multiplayer.

Seems like Gearbox heard outcries about the problem I mentioned eariler (well I know for sure that I made a few on their twitter).

As of now, if you live where I live you'll get both the Russian and the English version of the game from Steam. It's the only place in the world for this :P (which is much awkward as *most* post-soviet states have a relatively large precentage of Russian-speaking languages).

edit: this gives a warm feeling though. Such fast and customer-friendly response
from the devs to fans' complaints!

Really need to buy the game asap. And I urge you to do the same as well! ^_^

I got my hands on the shotgun "Thre Dog". Fun little reference.

Anyway I tried Maya as well now, and with PhysX at high, Phaselock looks awesome - things in the environment get sucked in. Still, I prefer gunzerking for now. Salvador is immediately awesome, Maya looks like she has a long way to go before the talents make sense.
