Why are some post locked to me? I get the message that says "I do not meet requirements to post in this forum". What does that mean? I've looked around the network but can't seem to find out why.

It means they have been locked by a moderator for a certain reason. No one is able to post on a locked thread

There are some other reasons you might get wacky messages, like threads being moved before you submit your post, but locking, as mentioned, is usually the case.
