A prequel introducing a reboot has enormous potential. Just look at where the Star Trek universe sits now - a blank slate.
Yeah with a Captain Kirk even I could beat up.

Ninth George a lot of polls say most people chose destroy
But like I said, these forums don't represent the whole of the ME3 playerbase. I admit it is likely that Destroy is the most popular choice, but I don't think it's popular enough to invalidate the other 3 endings, and annoy everyone who picked those.

Please don't talk about making me4 a prequel. I can almost guarentee a prequel will absolutely suck. I may be biased because I hate prequels but many people agree and also prequels never do well so I doubt bioware would make a game that was almost destined to fail. I actually do want them to make an me4 but as a sequel just please don't encourage bioware to make a prequel.
For every person that hates prequels there is one that loves them.
A good writer and story makes all the difference. If they made a prequel I would buy it (and so should you if you want to know more about the ME universe) if they made a sequel I would buy it. Not every prequel is destined to fail. not every sequel is a success

I wouldn't say no one wants an MMO, but most if not everyone I've spoken too don't. Unfortunately the rumors of a Mass Effect MMO seem to linger.

A sequel would never work, because of the endings. Shepard dies in most of them, and each leaves a vastly different scenario.
They did it with Dragon Age. Twice... sort of.

Hmm refuse is invalid so just count that out (unless they make it better). Synthesis is ridiculous. So control was the second most popular I think however I have a bad feeling that if they use control they will make shep a bad guy and then most people would be mad. Anyways most people would overlook using one ending (destroy ending) if the other parts of the game would be as good as me2 or me1.NinthGeorgesw wrote...

The problem with prequals is that they're too linear and offer little choice for how the story progresses.
Which goes completely against what the Mass Effect series is about.

Worst. Example. Ever.

Yes, well. Absolutely nobody, not a single person on this Earth, wanted an Elder Scrolls MMO. And yet...

An MMO would most likely fail, for the reasons Blitz said.

Make longer stand-alone games instead. Much easier to provide a coherent story that way.

This is all your opinion, not fact. Just because you want a sequel that makes Destroy canon does not mean everyone does.

True and if they want they can make a sequel to it later. DAO is the perfect example of this it was a great stand alone game and they could make a spin off for it like DA2 (DA2 failed by itself)anorling wrote...
Whatever they do I think they should stay away from trilogies, and even duologies.

The angry one I agree on that but that has a small well a tiny chance of working as an mmo. Mass effect would NEVER work as an mmo
I'd advise you to wear an asbestos suit before ever saying that to any Elder Scrolls community.

Overreaction to some wanting multiplayer in a TES game.
I might look at it.... then go back to WoW.

Wasn't there talk about a Fallout MMO as well?
And there is also a new DnD MMO called Neverwinter on it's way.
Anyway... The market is flooded with MMO's these days. I can't see how a Mass Effect MMO would succeed with the current inflation. Not that I would want a ME MMO anyway. So they longer they stay away from it the happier I am.
