An option to kill Reapers without killing other synthetics or some other bs penalty, simple no?

A sensible ending to ME3. The existence of the Space Brat raises far too many questions. It could've been solved by having HIM be the "VI" you reclaim from the Illusive Man or something. At least it would solve the fridge logic of the Reapers having trouble getting back when their boss is chilling IN THE CITADEL WITH AN ARMY OF COMPLETELY SUBSERVIENT KEEPERS RUNNING THE PLACE.

I was onboard with the ending all the way up to Shep and Anderson chilling in the heart of the enemy's domain, Anderson slowly bleeding out. End it there, the Crucible fires, they die with dignity, game over. The end. Maybe put a nice written summary of decisions made and what impacts they had.

They most likely can't. Naturally how i feel and think in the future will always be up for change but as it stands right now they won't do what will win me back. That's just how it goes sometimes

A few things that can be done to renew my personal interest in a new ME game would be for them to
  • leave EA and get a new publisher (I believe the next 2 points would only be possible if BioWare were to get a new publisher)
  • Have a longer production cycle (atleast 2 years development)
  • No day 1 DLC
  • Less auto-dialogue
  • (if any previously known characters are in the next ME game) go more in depth with current characters and not adding new characters in (for example, I felt that adding James Vega and EDI were un-necessary squadmates in ME3)
  • To plan out the whole story beforehand (if it's to be a completely new game with sequels after it) to ensure that BioWare avoid the problems that arose with ME having quite a few inconsistencies in the story and plot
  • No forced emotions for certain characters (the child/catalyst, because with every dream of this kid I experienced I ,personally, developed a greater hatred for him even before the ending)
  • Finally, I believe having more choices affect actual gameplay aspects of the game (There are quite a few examples where apparent major decisions have little to no effect on the game except for a War Asset number, e.g Saving/Killing the Rachni in ME1, Rewriting/Deleting the Geth Heretics (you still fight Geth in ME3 no matter the choice) etc

Something that makes sense with the catalyst or a total retcon of the whole catalyst cow plop.

Sequence of events during slides shows put in a proper timeline.

I don't want to headcannon destroy ending. I want a full ending. Gasp isn't a complete ending.

Refuse deserves better conclusion. Better yet... shooting the AI should have a better conclusion.

Reunion. Because? If this is the last Shepard game, I want an option for a happy ending where Shepard lives and is reunited with friends, family and love interest.

A text epilogue would be acceptable as thats a low budget inclusion written by the games creators and not fans.

Haven't lost me to begin with so I can't really say, but I do think a new game would be a step in the right direction.

A whole new game would be nice, but not sure they could impart the same emotion we all put in to our Sheps, but imho they could repair me3 by simply putting me4 out as the true "ending" by having Shep dreaming all of me3 from the time they got slammed around in the Defense Committee's chambers (begining of me3)

They don't have to do much. I've enjoyed all ME games enormously. They'd have to seriously screw things up to drive me away.

Make ME3 a bad dream and sell ME4 for 15 dollars to any ME3 owner. (Heck even Micro$oft is giving away Windows 8 for 15 dollars for people who buy a Windows 7 machine now) And if M$ can do an OS for 15, Bioware shouldn't have a problem. Of course I'd still not preorder that shiz.

Remove ME3 from being canon.

Then have the new game carry on from ME2 and include all the things we were told that ME3 was going to have.

Not early enough for me. Take it all the way back to the ending of Arrival.

I don't want ME4. I want ME3 to end the series on a good note. Right now, for me, it's not.

How do they win me back?

Just carry on doing what they're doing, which is leagues ahead of the writing in most video games, whatever the haters say.

The usual: Reunion DLC with Shep retiring with LI to enjoy the life s/he deserves.

THISSSSSSSSS

i'm a sucker for a happy ending, and I got it in ME1 and ME2. If ME3 gave me that, well i'll go back to jerking off to everything Mass Effect related like I did pre-ME3 release.

Ideally, make ME3 non-canon and try again.

Otherwise, retcon out starjar and come up with a better ending (unfortunately, there isn't much that can be done about the other plot abhorrations in ME3).  This ending should not include anything to do with synthesis.

Furthermore, if Bioware even hints at including some force of pure evil in the future (i.e. an unrealistic, laughable cartoon villain), then I'm out.

remaking mass effect 3, complete re-do..

without that my journey ended with the original ending.
didnt play the EC, not going to, after watching the refuse ending on youtube that crap-tacular original ending will always be on my disc to remind me of that EPIC fail on BW's part.

I feel like a broken record at this point, but at the very least Bioware needs to retcon the ending of ME3 if they make a new game/any sort of media that takes place after the events of ME3.

What this retcon would entail would be to completely remove the Catalyst and have the game end right after you talk to Anderson. It would then cut to some sort of variant of the Destroy ending. It would look something like something like this ending. Doing something like that would be the bare minimum Bioware would need to do to fix Mass Effect. While more can be done and should be done, this is all that they would need to do. I'm really not asking for much.
