Sorry, I posted this in the general discussion before I realized there was a tech support forum.  Please forgive the re-post, but please help!

So I'd read all the boo-hoos about the ending of the game before I got it, but I was really surprised that the ending of my game seemed to be missing most of what people were talking about.  I played through twice and I downloaded the extended cut, but I don't get any narrations at all!

Here's how my endings play out (again, no narration)

Playthrough 1 (not continued from ME2) - chose Synthesis w/ EMS 3800
Shephard jumps into beam
Beam shoots around through the relays
Normandy goes down
Joker and EDI get out
Stargazer

Playthrough 2 (continued from ME2) - chose Destroy w/ EMS of 5000
Shephard shoots the power cable
Reapers fall on Earth
Beam destroys relays
Normandy goes down
Joker and Ashley get out
Stargazer

People keep referencing Shephard being seen dead at the end or barely alive, but I don't see either.  I understand the narrations could be done by EDI or Hackett or another character, but I don't get any narration.  Does anyone know what the hell is going on?
