Several on my list:
1. To be a better person in terms of character and temperament. Need to be less of a grouch and wet blanket.
2. To be a more educated and skilled person. Power tools will be fun...
3. To be less anti-social and more involved with society / folks around me. Need to be kinder to my friends.
4. To be even more independent (still working on learning how to COOK, and a long-term self-support plan).
5. To budget for the next five-ten years so I don't go bankrupt (
) and also for emergencies. I foresee several in future.
6. To put down roots somewhere and work on establishing a home, in a physical and emotional sense.
7. To figure out what I want to do in life, hopefully by the end of 2010. Cardboard box is not an option.

I've considered moving to Canada or elsewhere should my current employment end. It gets more tempting as time wears on. I know the grass isn't always greener on the other side, but a change of scenery might do me good.

:innocent: Hey! All!
My resolution to reduce the amount of time for playing video games is going well. I am now focused on playing Dragon Age: Origins most of the time. That means the MMO I have is only seeing me about once a week if that. The 5 or 6 other games on my computer including solitaire are lucky if I play them at all.
I am finding the books in the game amusing as they have fictional construct with some non-fiction bits included from many books I read which claimed to be non-fiction's.
With winter giving the area lots of snow for the first time in years I actually had to go outside a shovel it off the sidewalks several times this past three months. The snow has returned to our area with a presence some people have not seen since 1998. Where I am now there has been at least two feet of it since November. It dried up after the New Years Day for about a week and now it is back with vengence. I was amused to see cars getting slowed down because they were bottoming out on the eight inch deep piles built up from trucks paths.
I actually spent an hour or two shoveling snow the day before yesterday. Darn! I have to go out and do it again so the mail man doesn't slip and slide past the mailbox.
The crowd I might be best suited to mingle with is likely online surfing the Internet for another item to add to their collection of life shaping necessities and anyone like me who lives around here have most likely moved indoors. I overheard a neighbor youth say to his Dad, "Hey! Dad, There's that guy who spends all his time playing video games all day!"
He was only half right, I played some and studied how to build mods more if I could stay awake back when.
I really got into the idea of building a mod for another game so that I was spending way to much time on learning how to build mods and little time playing the game. I switched off the idea of building mods because so many were available already built by talented people just like I wanted and that's when I began downloading mods so I could play the games more.
Six hours of steady gaming was not an unlikely experience for me.
So how many games hours have you logged in shy of the usual breaks for refreshments and such this January?
Anything delight you about your life and times in the Month of January?
