I'm gonna pre-order it. Why? I liked DA2. It's still a smart move to not pre-order and see from other people if it's good or not though.
Anybody else not going to pre-order Dragon Age 3?

I'm going to pre-order any special edition that is revealed simply because I love Dragon Age.

Whether I pre-order or not is chiefly dependant on whether there's major Day 1 DLC.

I will either get it at a discount, months after it is released, or not buy it at all. The last bioware game i preordered was precisely DA2, and i regret it. I´m glad i didn´t preorder ME3 either. Bioware games have disappointed me too much in recent times, so now i think twice even about buying them, so pre-ordering is out of the question.

i revise my earlier position (not that it matters much). i won't base whether or not i preorder based on demo now. i simply will NOT preorder.
even my supreme deity (demo) will have to do a lot more to convince me to purchase DA3 than it did to convince me to stop moping about the lack of race options and purchase DA2.
why? multiplayer, that's why. i now relegate myself to the ranks of the PERMANENTLY pouty, angry, and whiny fans with too big a penchant for nostalgia for their own good.

I probably will pre-order, despite my trepidation at what the game will be. I can admit that I might.

There's no trickery involved.
And once they announce a release date, I will happily pre-order.
They trick you with fantastic trailers and awesome looking DLC just to get a rushed piece of crap.
Actually DA2 s first trailer,(where we only see Hawke riping apart some Qunari) made me cancel my preorder.
Immediatley.
Origins's trailer made the opposite effect. I would have bought collectors edition even, if it was good.
Edit: For DA3, Cancel preordered!?! O_o

I'm not preordering anything.
I made ONE exception in my entire life.
DA3 certaly won't be the second.

Sure. I did get burned on ME3, but that was a very different game with a completely different creative team. I liked both DA:O and DA2, and I'm looking forward to DA3.

If this thread gets a sticky and stays frontpage until release, I pre-order the collectors-edition. twice.

I would like to see a demo and some character portraits, I know they don't usually truly represent the completed game, but I still can get an idea of what's coming. I preordered DA:O, and DA2, so I'll probably do the same with DA3.

Complacency and arrogance have recently corrupted the soul of Bioware... as it seems from their recent releases (DA2 and ME3). So, probably I shall not be pre-ordering it unless there are some ground-breaking news (and not rumors). And if it's a multiplayer then HELL no!

I actually broke my long standing rule about preordering when ME 3 was announced. Erm... Yeah... That'll never happen again.
This time I'll wait for PLAYER reviews before deciding if I'll purchase the game. I'll also wait six months to a year to allow for the game to be patched to a playable level and allow for a major price drop. Better yet, I'll wait for a 75% off Steam sale. If it isn't a game sold on Steam, it may not be purchased at all unless I find it in the bargain bin at Best Buy.

I don't preorder since a major disappointment back in 2006. I'm not going to repeat that mistake and certainly not with DA3, since playing the DA2 demo was enough for me to put me off.
If DA3 turns out to be a real spiritual successor to Origins, I will buy it, but I have my serious doubts. In all probability there will be multiplayer, which I couldn't care less about and probably the awsome button will make another glorious appearance.

Will wait until it is discounted and sold as an ultimate edition.
Under EA Bioware has started churning out second-rate, unfinished games and then gouging their loyal fans with overpriced DLC just to get the complete game.

Well I always pre-order games online, and they only charge you for the game when it actually ships.
Therefore I will pre-order it, so if the price gets low before it comes out I get it at it's cheapest. It will come out in America 3 days before it does in the UK as well, so if the ball is dropped like they did with Mass Effect 3 (and to an extent, DA2) I can cancel my pre-order with no loss.
If the game is thought highly of by reliable sources (In other words, not IGN or similar) then I will keep the pre-order.

Nope. Not after DA2. They didnt put in enough effort and I will not buy this game until im certain its good. I dont want a game that offers a good intro and then fades horribly like da2 so I will be very thorough in my research before I buy.

I'm pre-ordering, love all the DA games. Sure DA2 wasn't as good as DA:O, but by no means would I consider it a terrible game. BioWare has stated they are rectifying the issues and from what we've been told about DA3's gameplay mechanics, it sounds amazing/new. So yes, I am pre-ordering.

I loved DA:O, and while DA2 was a disappointment in comparison with severe flaws, and clearly rushed, I still found it a good game.
But I've been disappointed with some of the deceptive marketing frrom EA/Bioware with ME3, and the utter botching up of ME3's ending. Also, ME3 was - very unusually for a Bioware game - a one-off experience for me, and I'm left with no desire to replay it, or buy DLCs. I did regret pre-ordering the game.
Thus I'm left in a situation where the incentives for pre-ordering would have to be quite high for me to do it again. At the moment, I'm thinking I'll postpone buying until I get a handle on the fan feedback.
