Lol assassin plus spanish accent = plagiarism?

If you consider that plagiarism, you should rewatch Assassins, and count how much it copies every other holywood action flick.

*shakes head, turns away in bewilderment, and keeps eating his waffles.

Zev is reminiscent of that horrid movie's character. But I was first reminded of Luigi Vampa or whomever it was from the newer Count of Monte Cristo movie with Guy Pearce. It's all relative, really to what he reminds you of. He has a Spanish accent. Lots of people speak with that.

A Spanish elf bi-sexual assassin? Doesn't sound so unoriginal to me.

You've got to be kidding me. One fail post about supposed plagiarism should be enough.

Are you joking? Everyone knows that Assassins was the most cutting edge action movie ever, and is the basis for which all movies in the genre thereafter follow. :P

Antonio Banderas=  typecast as a suave spanish speaking person who kills stuff.

I don't think anyone else has agreed with him. On the other hand, more than one person has already said
"fail post." That should generally be enough.

edit: Not sure if you thought I agreed, but I didn't.

Antonio Banderas is indeed awesome. I'm glad we can all agree on this point. Are characters sometimes inspired (intentionally or otherwise) by other characters?

Certainly. It happens all the time. I wonder if Leilana is inspired by Milla Jovovich playing Joan of Arc in The Messenger. But I don't consider it plagiarism.

The Messenger is also a fantastic movie if you haven't seen it.

I did want to add that I am very disappointed that certain nations in Thedas borrow from Earth's nations in accents.

Orleans is an area in France. France is considered by many to be the fashion capital of the world. Orlesians in Dragon Age have French accents and fixate on fashion.

This was a failing of the Star Wars prequels. The original trilogy had aliens speaking in alien languages. Lucas wanted to make the prequels more kid friendly, and not require reading subtitles. So now aliens borrow accents from Earth, and it made many people uncomfortable, even screaming racism.

apparently being a ninja means you never work out or do anything strenuous. those guys have the physical builds of a computer nerd who would get knocked over by a strong wind.

it was kind of funny though in a silly way, but so very bad.

One of Jackie Chan's very first movies was called Master With Cracked Fingers, but the video rental case cut the title off at Master with Crack. It involved an old pervert basically kidnapping Jackie Chan as a little boy, and making him climb naked into his sack.

His enemy was a flaming gay ninja in pink.

What would you like them to do??? Not have accents? That would be pretty hard because everyone in the world has an accent. Also, to be influenced by other countries is great, it is not stealing or anything of that sort. And France is known as the food capital of the world...many great ideas for food began there. It shows that just like Earth, many fantasy worlds have different types of cultures, beliefs, and other things that make them different. Nothing bad about that. I mean look at the Witch of the Wilds idea, that is the belief of Pagans and Witches....the belief that others who do not understand, it is believed that today Witches sacrifice and eat children, that they make pacts with demons and other things.
Take the Cult of Andraste, this could be seen as the cults of most religions..such as Christianity, Muslim, Islam...etc
Take that whole idea and you can run it with the massive Witch Trials...which included the killing of Joan of Arc which you can connect to Andraste...
