With or without dlc items, can an AW reach more than 13 mana regeneration. (Not in awakening, and without song of valor) Also, it won't be only when character has less than 50 mana, I want him to have that regen always. Is it possible?

Without any party buffs, the maximum I can think about is +11.25.

You may consider bringing along another mage to have haste sustained, and spam rejuvenate, mass rejuvenation, spellbloom; or may be Shale with maxed out stone aura tree.

Hmm......

Wade's Superior Heavy Dragonscale Armor set Gives +2 mana regen.
Andruil's Blessing Gives +2
Cailan's arms set gives +5.75 (return to ostagar DLC)
Combat training rank 2 gives +0.5
Longrunner's Cap gives +0.5
High regard of house dace gives +1 (golems of amagarrak achievement reward)

11.75 in all, short of what you need. If you're playing on the console version then you have excess since they get double the stats.

From the wiki:

Base mana regen: 1/sec

With Fade Shroud, Combat Magic additionally grants +25% dodge and +1 mana regeneration.

If your mana/stamina falls below 50 during combat, the game gives you another +0.5 bonus (total of 1.5). When it falls below 10, your mana/stamina regen becomes +3.5.

So he actually has 13.25 regen in that gear.

Yes, your math is right, but I really don't understand why my mana is continuing to decrease even though I wear the same mana regen items. I'll try it again to see if it works this time.

Mmm did you activate something else that drained mana? I can't think of any offhand atm however, aside from the awakening stuff and spell might.

You can only sustain it at 10 mana, since you get bonus mana regen at that level. You will fall to 10 mana, but not to 0 and having it deactivate.

With awakening of course, it's easy to sustain with the extra skills

my first character had both on at once and I did have enough mana regen to negate the auto usage.
