I'm very surprised no one made this before, but it's finally here! The (un)official EDI support thread!

Let's start with a Cutscene Compilation

Here's a couple of EDI avatars!

And, dulcis in fundo, an EDI signature... this one is directly connectedo to Synthesis

Image IPB

...but don't worry, EDI supporters who do not support the Synthesis Ending, I'm working on other signatures and I'll try to put them online ASAP!

Meanwhile, if there are EDI supporters out there who are able to use Photoshop, please share with us new signatures/avatars if you can/want, I'll be sure to keep the OP updated!

Now go and unshackle your EDI love!

I'm sorry. No one likes EDI. I never found sex-bots amusing.

Damn, BringBackNihlus beat me. Screw it, I'll post it anyways.

EDI's body is one of the worst things about her. It is so unnecessarily sexualized. If you like EDI because of that robot body with porn star boobs, well, good luck in life...

I would like to send a message to the "oversexualized" crowd out there.I'm not starting an EDI support thread because of "porn star boobs" but because I really liked the character since ME2. "EDI with a body" was one of the things that I thought ME2 was foreshadowing (with the whole Joker/EDI relationship) and I was very satisfied with the results, because her body looked very "Retro Sci-Fi" while still resembling Tricia Helfer.

In case you never saw the "official" inspiration, mentioned in the artbooks, this is Maria from Metropolis:

They "modernized" Maria's appearence to match EDI's voice actress and the more "shiny metal" looks of Mass Effect 3, but she is essentially a Robot from the 30s. Having a pair of boobs is not oversexualizing a character.

Now, I could also say that posting a pictures of Liara's ass in every page of the Liara support thread is far more "loving a character for her boobs" than this support thread, but I won't say it because I don't like hating on other BSN users.

I was looking for something like that but the Search Engine didn't gave me anything. Also, this is more of a "classic" support thread, with pictures, signatures, avatars etc.

If we just want to use that other topic howerver, it's fine.

I don't get why people don't like EDI but have no problem with Miranda. EDI has an great developing sense of humor and a deadpan delivery that never got old.

EDI: don't worry I only forget to recycle the oxygen when I find something truly interesting.
Shepard: {look of horror}
EDI: that was a joke.

EDI rocks. I really don't get the hate she receives. She's was in ME2 and no one batted an eyelash, I think you fleshy organics are all racists.

Sometimes it seem like people do not like her simply because she has boobs. Take that, feminism!

Well I'm happy to say that I'm an EDI fan. She was IMHO one of the better developed characters in Mass Effect

I'm glad to see that there are not only EDI haters on these boards! EDI fans are definitely a minority (here, at least. When it comes to Mass Effect fan, it's really difficult to say which faction is a "minority" and which one is just a "vocal minority") but it's a start!

I'm a huge EDI fan. She was awesome in both ME2 and ME3.

That's partly the reason, yes.

I don't like her because the idea is ridiculous: transfer the ship AI into a robot body with boobs and cameltoe. That's just so random nonsense to make the synthetics-vs-organics crap somehow justifiable.

I loved her AI role in ME2, though.

I have no problem with EDI's character; I liked her as the ships computer in ME2 and her twisted sense of humour is great fun to listen to. The main problem I have with her is simply that I just see no reason as to why she had to be a squadmate in ME3. I at least, never felt compelled to use her, not even once. There's also her sexbot (which has already been hammered to death here, so i'll leave it at that).

Honestly, i'd rather have someone else (and by that, I mean one of the ME2 squaddies, even Jacob) fill in that all too valuable squadmate slot and just keep EDI as the Normandy's AI.

Agreed.  Her dialog between Shepard and Joker was hilarious at times, I literally found myself laughing!  Idk if anyone has mentioned this before, but I always thought it would be cool if there were some DLC that had a Dr. Eva Core skin for her.;)

I'd rather that EDI get her own skin.

There are a couple of pictures of EDI in a military casual suit like the one Shepard wear by default, and she looks great in it.  If Leviathan or further DLCs also add a couple alternative outfits (like From Ashes did) I would love to see that suit or a battle armor for EDI.

The costumes she has now are just different versions of the Eva Core dress, I would like something "different", like Ashley and Liara's Phantom Armor.

EDIt: this thread require some top!
