I've heard that Bioware, while at gamescon or whatever was over the weekend, Suggested there might be something LotSB style.
Considering also that DLC isn't complete for ME3 and the fact that everyone it retcon'ing the bad endings for something that is much more preferable and doesn't insult one's intellegence, We have fun discussing what Shepard + LI's future is.
In the Miri thread, I've written several short dialogues, one of them being Shepard and Miranda proposing to eachother on the same day. Everyone loved it, no one complained.
We're a comunity and we're sort of staying a comunity.

I feel this way because it is true, however, I am still going to support the Character discussion thread the only thing I guess I have to go on is the hope that Bioware is actually listening and not just saying "hmmmm they really liked that character, well good for them"

To some degree i agree with the OP, but character threads can also be a good place where you can find people to motivate into action by giving links to threads that are promoting character centered dlc's or talking about asking some BW official something related to that character. You can also get some info about you favourite character and share some fan art.
In the end you can always enjoy a casual chat with friendly people
Though I have to agree that threads should maybe start some campaign to promote their character (as far as I know, some threads even have those already)

I don't know about other threads, but the Tali thread tends to discuss fanfiction. There is alot of Tali fanfiction floating around.
Of course there is also the recycling of images, and new people joining the thread and injecting a discussion we have all had many times before.

It's just a place for people to come together and further talk about the characters they loved and share idea's and opinions. It's nice to talk about things I think and share opinions as a community.
I loved having people to share my distress about no reunions and stuff like that, it's just nice to go here and know that someone in this community shares the same opinion as you or simular and be able to discuss things and get things off your chest.
Thats my opinion anyway, personally I love talking about characters and stuff on the forums
