I thought to myself it's only a matter of time before they fix this, could someone give me an update on whether or not the faulty face imports have been fixed yet?

AFAIK, patch 1.02 was supposed to help people who couldn't import their faces at all. If you mean other issues as inconsistency of details, ME1/2 Jane lost for ever etc., this never was addressed or even acknowledged as a bug.

Faulty face imports are a result of the ME2 code being directly brought in without any comparison to ME3's face code.

Only a couple issues really mess with my imports and I only have to change 3 digits in the code to get my face right again.

Well my main character, doesn't import properly at all, thus why i asked.

Is there a equation to get your characters face in me3 to look like it was in me2

Back when ME3 launched, I imported my ME2 save and was horrified when Shep did not look remotely look like my Shep.  Patch 1.02 did correct some issues, but not remotely all.  I just tried importing last night and my Shep still isn't importing properly.  (Apologies for the poor pictures, as I play on XB360)

Here is the comparison between ME3 and ME2.  Note in particular the lack of red hair!

Just for giggles (and myopic viewing pleasure), here is what my Shep looks like in ME1.  Note the wonderful ginger hair.

just got off with EA tech support, they said the best solution is to delete all my save files and start from scratch...?
thanks EA

it might only be a face, but the immersion is completely broken for me. Looks like my mass effect journey ends not because ME3 was a terrible game, or that it had a terrible ending.
but because i simply cannot import my face.
