Even you and me can't see the same things the same way :)

You see, there is an abyss of misunderstanding even among different humans. Now imagine an abyss of misunderstanding between organics and synthetics, and to what kind of conflict it will eventually lead.

Humans kill each other every day just because they think differently, and have different traditions. Humanity can destroy itself easily after becoming enough powerful while keeping the differences of religions and traditions. By default humans refuse to understand they are all humans. And you can't fix that just by convincing people to unite. Each union fails eventually while people in it are still too different.

And none of that had anything to do with terminating the proto-Reaper or the Collectors.  Thanks for that pointless rambling.

Your true colors are showing through that poorly created facade.

FATAL FLAW!  You have choice in life in whether you get that car/clothes/phone/computer, when you get them, what kind of said item you get.  People get NO CHOICE in whether they get synthesized or not.

That in incredibly obvious.  Wulf just talks and talks and talks, spewing childish bitter insults at those who destroy his beloved death machines and when ANYONE offers a counter argument or differing opinion, the little fool just jams their fingers in their ears crying the same note of sociopaths and luddites.

Ideas may evolve over time. I have to keep some of my ideas up to date, and this is the only reason I updated the OP.

You think I didn't update anything? Then you obviously didn't even read the previous variants.

Let me get this straight. I'm no better than a dung flinging primate because I DON'T want to merge with the beings that were perfectly content on wiping me and the rest of civilization off the face of the galaxy?

Apologies for the double post.

Synthesis doesn't merge you with the Reapers. Like I said - refusal of Synthesis usually comes from misunderstanding of Synthesis itself.

There are people who can help you to understand. Ask Synthesis fans, read Synthesis discussions (link to the best of them is in my signature, by the way).

Alright..let me rephrase. I was insulted by that comment hence I blew up a tad. I'm well aware that synthesis makes organics and synthetics the same to put it simply I suppose. I really don't dislike you. What baffles me is how you are willingly content to play ball with the catalyst after all its done. Its a broken machine running on false logic. And its because of that false logic that countless lives were lost while some were grinded into paste so that they can "ascend" I don't believe it to be correct.

You say Synthesis is unstopable. Fine, I'll accept that as on of the possiblities that may occur with natural evolution. All I want is for it to come naturally. Not from one single person who thinks they know whats best for the galaxy. The Repaers or the catalyst are not a natural occurances. They were created by arrogant begins who as well thought knew what was best for the galaxy and look what happened to them. The Reapers were doing nothing but delaying the natural porgression of life with each cycle that occurs. If anything they bring chaos to an already ordered galaxy. If synthesis is the turly inevitable we will reach it based on the consensus of everyone. Only when the glaxy is ready will we evolve to that plain of existance. It cannot be forced.

I see this differently. First of all, the Catalyst is the only reason why current galactic civilization even exists, why Shepard exists. The Catalyst could finish us, but instead it was convinced that Cycles became outdated. It offered cooperation - showed the possible ways to continue. The Catalyst logic is flawless even though it did a lot of things we don't actually like. I can understand it, and I can cooperate with it. And since I have a way to stop the Reapers without killing anyone - I choose that peaceful way of course. I just can't cause harm to others, when there is a way to avoid doing that harm and still achieve my goal.

Come naturally?... Everything nature does is natural. Everything that natures' creations do is natural. Catalyst's Synthesis is natural. The speed of change is what troubles you? Do not worry, just remember how fast humanity advanced over last tens of years. You should not afraid sudden changes, if the changes were positive.

I don't see it that way. This is something that cannot be forced or rushed. Since their creation the reapers have only prolong what is natural. The galaxy needs to reach it without their intervention or anyones intervention. What the Catalsyt does is cause imbalance. It cannot be helped. It cannot see through its false logic. The only way restore that blance and allow the Galaxy to continue along the path nature and evolution has allowed is to destroy the catalyst.

A nice confirmation of the fact that everything Catalyst told us was correct. Differences can't co-exist, and any kind of toleration is nothing more but a time bomb.

...By the way, I'm glad all empires like that always end up assimilated. Protheans were consumed by the Reapers. Keeping in mind what Javik said, I think Protheans deserved that kind of assimilation. They became much better as the Collectors, they helped the Catalyst to make sure the new, better life will flourish.

Why do you play Mass Effect? Aside from whatever vapid post-ending headcanon scenario you've got cooking at the moment, what is it about Mass Effect that entices you, given that you believe differences can't co-exist and people can't tolerate one another?

Because, if there's an even remotely important and constant theme across the series, it's that cooperation and resolving differences leads to better outcomes. Unity is good, basically. You say Mass Effect is a great sci-fi universe that has a lot of interesting things to say, but why would like this game when most of your personal views conflict whith what the game actually promotes? Is the whole series just a meaningless series of events now, so that you can bull-rush to the end and force your views on the galaxy as a dictator? I don't get it.

Why do you have to be such an anti-intellectual bully? It's a valid question, and anyone who isn't stricken with obliviousness would be quick to realise that that's exactly what's going on. You're insulting him and bullying him in the hopes that he'll stand down.

To wit...

The Night Mammoth wrote...

Was that necessary? He's more creative day to day than your entire posting history. That's 'vapid' now, is it? Are you jealous? Are you afraid of and threatened by him? To be honest, I'm tired of the anti-intellectual bullying that goes on, here. I've called it out before, and now I'm calling it out again.

The Night Mammoth wrote...

Do they? I'd actually say that you're pushing this on him because you have an incredibly narrow view. Let me lay something out for you, here: Your inability to understand him is your problem. If you weren't so openly hostile and you spent the time speaking with him and trying to understand him, then perhaps you'd gain that understanding. Instead, all you (and those like you) are doing is engendering hostility towards you, due to how hostile you are towards others.

I only ended up so anti-Destroy because of a long history of anti-intellectual bullies attacking Synthesis fans. You tend to gang up and make personal attacks and hope that it'll make those who have different perceptions than you shut up, so that you can have your paradise. But you know what that does? That proves Seival right, that you can't co-exist with his opinions.

In my opinion, he's more in tune with the ME Universe than you are.

And Destroy isn't that? See, you're being a bully again, and you're trying to string him up with your own straw-man. Dictator? Dictator how? But you won't be able to answer that, you'll just insult and dodge around the question again, like a bully does.

And how is forcing entire peoples to die not being a dictator? Those who've put ethnicities to death in the past aren't dictators? Really? Really now? Okay.

See, you're a bully. You don't talk a lot of logic, you just talk a lot of smack. I'm not okay with it.

I don't want Sevial to back down, I want Seival to argue with me.

Because it's fun, you oblivious hypocrite.

Nuh-uh, I'm like, way more creative than Seival is, I wrote like super ace stories in English class and can draw real good.

Ugh.

Yes, because someone's posting history on a single forum is an appropriate measure of their entire creative worth, and I'm 'jealous' of some guy's shallow headcanon about the ending of a video game. Give me a break.

Do they? I'd actually say that you're pushing this on him because you have an incredibly narrow view. Let me lay something out for you, here: Your inability to understand him is your problem. Two things wrong here.

One: you assumed I haven't spoken with Seival or tried to understand his views. That is wrong. You'd be hard pressed to find more than a handful of threads he's created in the past year or so that I haven't posted in. I've spent more time than is wise talking with Seival.

Two: you assumed I am anti Synthesis. That is also wrong. I am not greatly for or against any ending. I'm anti Seival Synthesis headcanon.

In my opinion, he's more in tune with the ME Universe than you are.

Heh, normally I'd care, but you don't know my opinions on the various parts of the ME universe, so it's a completely empty statement.

And Destroy isn't that? See, you're being a bully again, and you're trying to string him up with your own straw-man

Oh man, I got a good chuckle out of that.

You bring up Destroy for some reason, and then say I was strawmanning? Get outta' here you loon, Destroy has nothing to do with this.

Dictator? Dictator how? But you won't be able to answer that, you'll just insult and dodge around the question again, like a bully does.

'Dictator how?' as in ... what? How is it like a dictator? Because he chooses Control so he can impose his views on the galaxy, forcibly marginalizing those who resist into detached areas because they don't conform to the status quo. It's all about forcing one particular idea on the galaxy whether anyone truly wants it or not.

And how is forcing entire peoples to die not being a dictator? Those who've put ethnicities to death in the past aren't dictators? Really? Really now? Okay.

I'm not entirely sure who or what you're referring to here, but it looks like another big strawman.

See, you're a bully. You don't talk a lot of logic, you just talk a lot of smack. I'm not okay with it.

You know what I have a problem with? Well, I have a problem with, insomuch as I care about it about the least I can care about anything, given that this is just an argument on an internet forum.

You assumed I was a Destroy fan before you even started, and you have have the gall to call other people binary thinkers and anti intellectual. I'm having trouble deciding whether you do just have zero sense of self-awareness and are therefore oblivious to how inanely stupid and hypocritical some of your beliefs are, or whether this is an elaborate persona.
