Sounds very similar to a match I was in, except it was a hack objective where two of the guys just stayed behind the counter.  After 30 seconds or so I went down to the room and starting shooting and meleeing them but my attempts at communicating with their primitive kind were of no use.  They remained steadfastly anchored to their desk.  At that point I quit.

I was looking for a bronze or silver match, and got thrown into a White match in progress. I hear Primes, and figure it must be Geth.

I leave the LZ and head down the stairs to the left, and see... an Atlas?

Then I check the info screen and realize I've been thrown into Wave 1 of a Platinum match. It looked like some guy was trying to solo it. The top scorer had about 30k, and there were two other guys around 3-4k who must have joined late like me.

The top guy kept dying and reviving himself, and the other two soon left. I never saw any of them.

I died in the LZ with two primes and a few pyros standing over me.

Same as OP's story - I did ALOT of geth cheese 2 DLC's ago, ALOT. But back then the mentality was "make Gold easier," and now it somehow shifted to "sit behind the counter and not move an inch."

so there i was, playing another game of mass effect 3 mp like any other day another game, as a fairly seasoned player i was ready for anything, the prime, the banshee, brute, atlas phantom you name it and it dies, but this round was different, very, very different. used to playing with friends we always fortified our position so nothing comes into our personal space without dying, but today, it was day off for all my psn friends so i got into a gold with randoms, i carefully picked out my equipment and jumped into the unknown, the game had already started and i was spawned into round 4 lacking one player the team was just making the fight, with me on their side we dominated, we laid waste to everything in our path, then it happened. at round 10 the object: to kill the targets, first was prime, the second and the third also primes but oddly on the fourth it was a hunter, as we approached the target it was nowhere to be seen, i mean not tactical cloak invisible, like literally invisible but no matter the target mark was on it so we began firing throwing grenades into the general direction every enemy around the target was dead but it, it was invincible, with only around a minute to go i began to feel a little uneasy, then one of the players took out the missile and began shooting, nothing, no damage another took out a missile and fired we kept shooting and shooting with no effect i began panicking as we only had about 20 seconds to go, i took out my missile and used all of it at the hunter with no effect i began screaming like a mad man, and the game was over, failure. only got 30000 creds and lost my equipments to this monster, to all bsn multiplayers, beware of the hunter, he might just be in your game.

Well, I went into silver match FBWGeth and it wasn't even 15 seconds in the game when I heard one of the other guys say 'let's camp over here'. I thought that there is no way I'm gonna camp on silver so I proceeded to slowly clear the stairs up to the landing pad (those inside the building) but for some strange reason I wasn't very successful while doing it.
Geth weren't dying as quickly as I wanted them to and I kept dying. It wasn't until the second objective I decided to check what was going on...

Yes, the host switched the match to gold and I did not notice (not that anyone told me that). So there I was, trying out a new character, no mods and absolutely no skill to survive by myself on gold. I guess I made those poor souls pretty miserable for the first half of the match.

Creating a U/U/G lobby just to get FBWGG. Luckily, it has not happened yet with a full PUG, but if it did, I am running around the map killing the spawns. As host, I have the right not the camp down in the basement.

Not really horror story but this just happened.

Land into white/geth lobby on Silver. I hate White map, but I said screw it and switched to my Salarian Engineer. Leader is taking absolutely forever to ready up while everyone else is ready and I get a message saying to change my character. I laugh and don't, seeing as I usually outscore everyone with my SE against Geth.

So I finally see the mission starts text, but out the corner of my eye I see someone switch to a Level 6 character. Whatever, I think, it's just silver. Right as match starts, the leader and low level character sprint to the counter area to farm on SILVER, and immediately die multiple times on waves 1 and 2, having a revive circle jerk going on. I finally leave on Wave 3 when they refuse to move from said area and help me and the other guy with objectives.

I like it when noobs camp behind the counters on Firebase White.

It makes the spawns nice and predictable, so I can go around killing everything before they get a chance. Eventually they get bored just sitting there doing nothing and follow me around.

That's not a horror story. That is bloody hilarious... people failing to farm FBWGS? Just proves how little skill people who camp that area have...

Wave 10. Last man with medigel (cripes). Hack zone overrun with Geth (cripes^2). Playing as the Locust TuSent (cripes^3). With liberal gel use, my last two rockets, and a lot of panic, managed to get the hack so close to being done you couldn't see the empty on the bar.

Went down.

God dammit.

was just in a fbw camper game... i didnt see the settings as i was texting and whatnot as the room was filled.

w1 i knew right away.... so i berated them the whole game over the mic.. and while doing so, i tested how far away i had to be for them to come out of their turtle shell to revive me.

they never moved..... lol

Was dumped into a match the other night and I don't usually jump ship if i can help it. so i thought ok i will keep playing i can roll with this. we make it to wave 10 and i have already used all of my missles and medigels (because Bioware decided to make the geth troopers stomp your ass asap) finished the objective but got raped by three turrents.
The other guys on the team must have thought i was just ditching since we got the wave 10 money so they went down.....all but one,
he decided to kite the last prime for like 30 minutes and not use a rocket or anything. i sat by patiently while the other two guys procedded to cuss the 4th player out until he finnaly wiped

not really a horror story because i slow clapped dude for pissing them off but stiill i had to wait half an hour to play another match.

Yeah, I've had the same thing happen.  Except I didn't leave, and the other guy and I ended up finishing the first 4 waves by ourselves before the other 2 decided to get out from behind the counter and join us.

When I do farm FBWGG, I usually use a Turian Sentinel, because I don't know who the competent players are going to be, and I want to be able to work with them no matter what class they are.  Also, I like the extra defense TA provides, in case I need to do objectives myself.  Because on a FBWGG public game, there's a very good chance that 1 or 2 of the players probably couldn't even pull their weight on Bronze and/or won't even try to do objectives.

I was searching for silver games to Drellguard in, since it's the funnest class, and I consistently am a drain past wave 7 on gold, since I die a lot then. Stumbled into an in-progress wave 2 White/Geth/Silver match, and everyone was hiding in the little room. I thought that was stupid, so I did what I always do as a Drellguard in silver and ran around the map like a monkey on crack, grenading spawn points and shooting enemies in the head, all that. I think the team was notably irate at this, and if I'd gone down, I bet they would have let me die.\\

Wave 10 objective was complete. I ran off to start killing **** when I hear "Team mate is down!" three times in rapid succession. I charged back and got one up. He went and hugged a prime before I could get the second up. Got the second up while the third died (clearly hadn't been tapping 'A'). It was clear to me that these were intentional wipers, but it's silver, and I was level 18, so I wanted XP. Finished out the wave, and they did go to the LZ (I still ran around killing ****, since as I said, wanted more XP).

Soon as the match was over, I had just enough time to see that it was a dedicated White/Geth/Silver match before three boot icons hit my name.

It was... strange...

Farming on Platinum, getting to the extraction and getting disconnected, TWICE on two consecutive runs.

My internet ain't the most reliable, but those two times I got kicked out after the host left (15 seconds on the clock), and when my sister rebooted our modem as she tried to print something (3 FREAKING SECONDS ON THE CLOCK!!!).

Just wanted to drow puppies after that.
