Carver will be really fun to have on Legacy.

Well I have a dilemma - Nightmare in Act 2 for this group is just too challenging (and annoying) and Hard is just too easy -
I've left it on hard for the last few quests (have not completed any major battle yet in Act 2 on Nightmare - tried some multiple times) and we just did Anders Ser Alriks quest and he killed the girl - (that was unexpected)
.
I think what I am going to do at this point is distance ourselves from Anders as a result of this -(which works from an RP perspective) and replace him with Sebastion - who seems to be the weakest choice available so maybe that will add a touch of challenge to playing on Hard - and maybe some interesting banter with Merrill and Isabela...
I'm pretty sure that will lead to a much less annoying playthrough than trying to replace him with someone to strengthen the party (Aveline or Fenris) and continue beating my head against the wall in Nightmare...
I have also given Merrill Blood of the first (first time ever) and am toying with the idea of making Hawke a blood mage as well (haven't spent my second specialization point yet.)
At the same time in the back of my mind I am wondering whether "Robin Hawke" and an all rogue group would provide an interesting playthrough...

lol!
I can't get enough of DA2 either, on my 13th playtrough with a rogue this time. Getting my butt kicked on hard
PS, you can get some mods at nexus, to add some variety to your playthrough

Well I have mostly used Hawke, Merrill, Sebastion, and Isabela since my last update we stuck to hard difficulty and with only two mages it was somewhat more challenging than with three but we only had a couple reloads along the way and most battles required little strategy once Hawke Nukem & the Electric Elf softened them up
We finished Act 2 - Mage Hawke dueled the Arishok with little trouble and we moved on to Act 3 - did a handful of quests and then did Legacy with Merrill, Isabela & Carver. Completed Legacy on hard without a single reload including my first ever encounter with the "secret boss".
We probably only had 2 or 3 battles where anyone even needed to be ressurected and about halfway through I began thinking we should have brought Varrick instead of Merrill to make it more challenging. For several of the last areas I just let Hawke keep his healing aura up and spam staff attacks while I managed Isabela or Merrill -
After discovering that Genlock Alphas take only 10% damage when attacked from the front and 500% from the back I'd just have Isabela backstab then twin fang them and down they went...
I did enjoy the banter with Carver and I have to say that every time I play Legacy I become more aware of just how outstanding the DLC is - perhaps better than the original game in many respects!

I had not seen the DA3 announcement - that's great news -
I am currently waiting patiently for BG EE to be released (Baldurs Gate Enhanced Edition) - it's supposed to be available Nov 30 - so perhaps it will fill some of the time before DA 3 comes along!
Of course I do have a DA:O game I left off at about the halfway point with a female warden who has her eye on the throne at Alistairs side that I may get back to at some point and then there's the all rogue DA2 run I've been contemplating - so many games so little time...
