Stumped the Akinator on a couple of names - first, Jolie Holland, the American singer/songwriter, didn't know that one.

And while the Akinator had Daniel Dennett on record, he didn't guess right - there should be a question "Is your character a philosopher?", and that would have nailed it, probably. And one would think that a question "Is your character an atheist?" would be pertinent, as there are many famous atheists, and a "yes" answer would narrow the field quite a bit.

So far I have thought of Arnold Scwarzenegger, John Shepard, Tali, Alma (ghost girl of FEAR game) and so far he got them all right. Spooky, sort off. But I keep trying. Perhaps something more obscure... *edit* Jebus, he got Abbath, singer/guitarist of black metal band immortal! :crying:

I got him on Sam Dunn, the guy who produced Metal - Headbangers Journey and Global Metal documentaries (happened to have the DVD boxes on my desk). But I consider this cheating as he is not very important nor known figure overall.

He guessed Dagoth Ur of Morrowind. Wow. *edit* He also got Miyamoto Musashi. Akinator is certainly amazing.

My second try I won, put me Cameron Diaz when I was thinking of Diane Kruger from Troy (played Helen) and a movie I saw yesterday, Goodbye Madiba (learning stuff of Nelson Mandela).

Shocked he asked me if Gerard Butler played Peter Pan, I swore he was gonna get it right after asking if he was famous for his muscles and Scottish! Then a stupid question ruined the moment... oh well. Wow

*edit* He got Collector General on second try.

Damn this site addicting.

I defeated him on the first try. An obscure Sega Saturn game character won it for me. XD He guessed I was thinking of Luna from Lunar: Silver Star Story. My choice was Feena from the game Grandia.

For me he did, and on first try even. Did you go through all 3 rounds before he admits defeat?

Managed to get Caden Cotard from Synecdoche, New York on his third guess, never guessed Mary Magnum from Jesus Christ Vampire Hunter (though it got close with one of the characters from Buffy), and it had no trouble with Vault Boy, guessing him on the first try.

Quite impressive.

The Akinator managed to guess:
- Wang Leehom on first try (Chinese-American singer)
- Sun Wukong on first try (Chinese fictional character)
- Ho Chi Minh on first try (politician and 'father' of Vietnam)
- Anwar Ibrahim on second try (former vice prime minister of Malaysia)
- Pol Pot on first try (prime minister of Kampuchea, and mass murderer)
- Ganesh on first try (Hindu elephant god. Wow. That's very impressive.)

Beat him with:
- Ding Ling (20th century Chinese female author), though the Akinator came close by guessing Bing Xin, a similar personality.
- A. Samad Said (75-year-old Malaysian author). Didn't even come close.
- The Trung Sisters (national heroines of Vietnam). Though the name of one sister, Trung Trac, was in the database.
- Sita (wife of Rama, from the ancient Hindu epic Ramayana)

I think the trick is to try really obscure names. Also, it seems particularly weak on historical and mythological references. Heh.

EDIT: Also, this game is *really* addictive. :D
