I just want to see more optioins.  More hair styles.  More beards.  Dragon Age always allowed for more individuality than Mass Effect, but I'd like to see even more.  I want Dragon 3 to really have a detailed character creator options.  Maybe add in scars.  Dyed hair colors.  (Telling me people don't dye their hair in Orlais?)  More interesting nose, eye, and face designs.  I want to see you go all out on it.  It's one of my favorite aspects of the Bioware games.  Creating that character and giving them a distinct look.

I love playing around with character creators, so I totally support this ahaha.
Seriously I just love designing characters in Oblivion, Skyrim, DA: O, Sims2, ect. (and DA2 kinda-sorta)

But for the love of the Maker give us other options of lighting in the game.
Seriously, the artifacial light in both Origins and II's character creator sucks. When do we ever get that lighting in the game? Never. Why do we make our characters in that light, when it really doesn't show the true colors of what we're choosing? My first Hawke had brown hair and orange eyebrows, wtf.
That in Origins it was really hard to tell what eyecolour you had chosen.

Also, if they want to make another "Poster Child" character (like default Shepard/Hawke), I really hope they let us edit their faces. It really bothered me I couldn't change a few things about Hawke's skintone/face, or change the hair, to get it -exactly- I was want: I have an xbox instead of a gaming computer, so I'm sadly not able to get mods to play around with the default faces. Again, no "default only" hairstyles please. Besides Morrigan's hairstyle, the only one that I really, really liked was Fem!Hawke's default hair, but I like designing my characters; they feel more mine (something that DA2 really alienated me, and many other people from), and it really sucks when "lol sorry, ONLY DEFAULTS can have this hairstyle, you're outta luck"

I also want Morrigan's hair to be in the CC. Seriously, what gives? Velanna was running around with Morrigan's hair in Awakening, and you could find a slew of NPCs with her hair in DA2, but Hawke couldn't get it without mods? IMO that was the best hair in the game, and I can't get it.  <_<

That said I want dwarves and elves back.
Or if they have the whole "set race" bullcrap I want anything  other than a human.

Also, not exactly character-creator related, but I would really like DA3 to implament a feature where I could casually have my character get a haircut: Fallout 3/Fallout: New Vegas had this, and it was something I really liked; it adds to the RPG experience in my opinion, and if you get tired of a hairstyle, you can always change it for awhile, and then get it back later on for that character later on.

There are a few other topics about this. Go necro one of them rather than start another one.

Oh my god, THIS. I hate the lighting in both of the character creators. I can't see properly what skin or eye colour I'm picking. Sometimes the skin colour looks fine in the CC and then I get a character that looks pale and sickly. The shadows make the facial features look a bit different, too.
I remember the very first character I made for DA:O. A city elf. She looked all right in the CC. However, she was hideous in the game. She was also so pale she was almost glowing. I burst out laughing when her betrothed told her, "You look radiant." That was... way too true. Of course, my lack of experience with the CC at that time was also to blame. But good lighting would have made it easier.
I would appreciate if we could create our character in an environment with lighting actually present in the game. For example, something like Hightown for DAII, Denerim for DA:O? Anything. Just... just... not a dark room, pretty please.
The possibility to zoom a bit closer would also be nice. Such things as eyebrows, especially in DAII, are quite difficult to see.

Tell me about it! I got a pale tattoo for my mage that I thought was great because it was very faint only to see it midnight black in the game covering the warden's face entirely -.-

They should put in a character sheet in the CC too. I hate not being able to customize the PC's abilities at creation.

Yes, lighting fix that please. DA2's as a step in the right direction, the eyes were larger and more vibrant (lol@sebastianseyecolor) so yay.
My first two Wardens ended up with gray eyes because I couldn't see any of the eye colors. This was on console.
Fix the black hair. I have no idea why you would include that AND ACTUAL brown hair .They were the same color.
The ability to apply colors to roots? Now, one of my Hawkes "dyes" his hair while his eyebrow color (black) gives it away the fact that his roots were this bright blonde to match the rest of his hair was...urgh. Stretching it a bit but...meh
Darker eye colors. Like I know you have dark blue and green. But a dark BROWN would be nice. Like deep dark brown.
And no restricted hair *creys*

Add black eye shadow. It's weird there is all these other colors but not black.

Always add more hair cuts.

Add more hair colors. Some colors where some of the hair is starting to turn grey.

A slider for freckles going from no freckles all the way over to a whole lot of them.

Jewelry for the face. Earrings, piercings and stuff like that.

In DA2 it's like everyone has flawless porcelain skin. Make it more natural.

I would love it muchly if they were to remove the Play-Dough faces.

Cause having puff pastry, baby fat, bacon bloated, fugu fish... Okay i can go on like that forever. The puffy cheeks/jaw-line really irritated me. As someone who has very sharp, pronounced features, i find the whole puffy dainty look girly and childish, and the fact i could do *nothing* to prevent it was downright annoying.

More Hairstyles would also be good. Plus the colours to go with them. Jewelry would be awesome-sauce, some more "weathered" complexions for female characters (cause baby face is annoying) and at least one option in tattoos or whatever for freckles.

I like freckles, alright? I'm ginger. I HAVE freckles, i have to like them. It's like, the law.

I definitely want a more detailed character creator. While I don't care much about more hair options (but please make the beards look less...wiggy), I want to see more facial sliders so it's easier to get more distinct faces for my characters.

Piercings, headpieces (e.g. Isabela's scarf), scars, and so on would be cool.

Better skin tones; DA2 skin went from white-as-the-sun to yellow to bronze (??) to pink-hued brown o.O

FRECKLES!

Better hairstyles for guys ... I find myself using the same three hairstyles because most are just weird. Three versions of a monk hairstyle? Really? Multiple bald/shaven hairstyles? Bleh.
