For the third time Origin has overwritten my saved games with an older version. How do I disable cloud saved games and what genius thought it would be a good idea to store multiple versions of saved games in different locations?.
Cloud saves are buggy.

Most people, that's why we ask for cloud saves / steamcloud.
You should get a popup to chose which one you want to use when you have different versions, I edit saves all the time and never had a problem, just tell Origin to upload the local one.

I'm glad you haven't had a problem with it, but I have had a problem with it. Every time it has asked me I've told it to use the local copy and since I don't have another computer that I'm playing on that shouldn't even be an issue.
If anyone would like to offer some constructive advice, such as how to turn it off completely I'd be very grateful.

You can turn off cloud storage on the "general" tab of the settings menu.
