They gave the gay community a gay character.
And it was the worst mass effect of the triology.
Coincidence?
Steve Cortez will feature heavily in Leviathan

Shepard was gay in ME.
Your argument is invalid.

Steve is a great character and needs more content.
I mean, would you rather he be replaced by someone else who ISN'T your shuttle pilot?
Yes honestly there are a number of equally trained people who could fly it, except Vega hes a moron.

The problem here is that Bioware put the gay romance into a character with absolutely no development at all other than the romance story, making him seem like a major character to gay players but a completely empty character to straight players. Now he's featured in a DLC, and that may be great for gay players but straight players are like "Who? Him?"

Ok, most players of Mass Effect did not care for Steve. While it's not as much as hate or dislike, why would you spend money on bringing back a player that most did not care for if not for political correctness and pleasing the gay community? Thats what it's about if we're honest. Because most people didn't care less about him. Like Allers. If you were not gay, Steve was as boring as Allers was to gay people. Would you want them to bring back Allers? Thought not.
Who said she's boring?
It's not really a matter of whether or not she's boring, so much as it is a matter of what she is doing in the game (although, pretty much everybody can guess why).
I'd point out that Allers is boring and annoying to pretty much everybody.
Steve is actually a character with a point, that's well voice acted.
It's unfortunate that BW couldn't find someone w/ acting experience to do the part of Allers.

A big part of Leviathan looks like it takes place under water. Steve Cortez is experienced with vehicles. Maybe it's just the nature of the mission and makes perfect sense within the context of the story being told.
Or he's just the shuttle pilot and his involvement is implcit in every single mission in the entire game that requires a shuttle.

I didn't really care for any of the non-squaddies with the exception of Joker and even he was wearing thin on me. But of the Allers, Traynor, and Cortez three... if I had to say which one I liked the best, it would be Cortez. Actually I'd rank him with Vega and that shows how much I hated Vega. Vega is the squad mate that can't even rank higher than a NPC.

I can see how people who went with the Steve romance would not see Steve as a "minor" character as I described him, but the problem is that Steve only becomes a significant character if you romance him. Think about what the character would be like if he could not be romanced at all. Basically a nobody. Just another wallpaper character like Kenneth and Gabriela... actually even less relevant than them because they at least have been around since ME2.
The problem here is that Bioware put the gay romance into a character with absolutely no development at all other than the romance story, making him seem like a major character to gay players but a completely empty character to straight players. What are you talking about? His entire story is avaidable regardless of romance, you have to opt into the romance in the club, everything up to then had been his personal story. His development arc is about him moving on, in the club you can help him mobe on by being his lover or his friend/support. He is featured in a large majoirty of missions and is definatkey not a wallpaper character.

Too bad they had to try to bribe the reviews by using Jessica Chabot. Those two would have made better sense especially Emily Wong.

It has NOTHING to do with the fact he's gay. I just really don't like him. I didn't see the need to cram a pilot into the end of the triology and try to make him one of the most important characters.
Actually that probably is BECAUSE he's gay. I don't dislike him because he's gay, but he's rammed down my throat because he's gay. It's political correctness crap. Video games are my escape from this kinda thing.
Your homphobia is truly disgusting.

In fact I don't, I just didn't bother with her loyalty quest, because I didn't want her in my squad for a whole mission when I could have better powered (IMHO) squadmates like Miranda and Thane.Haargel wrote...
Interesting... if I may ask. Do you strive to get the ones you don't like to get killed ?
I have no 'serious' problem with any squadmembers, except for Kaidan, in my dozen playthrough it was only once that I saved him instead of Ash, then again, I don't want to get him killed in lets say the Cerberus Coup. I tend to keep my squad alive, whether I like them or not.
I don't know, but somehow Kaidan is my least favorite... I think he's a bit emo. No reason to kill him though, i would been a terrible Commander if I did, I even did not send him to the crucible, he was welcomed back on the Normandy.
End of Hijack.
The rockett in her face, was just a funny anecdote. It took me by surprise. Although I would lie if I told you I didn't laugh when it happened, it was so sudden and hilarous, so it became cannon for me. I also saw Kelly die, that was sad.
With Liara, though, I certainly would kill her at least once, just to see it. Yeah I'm a sadist against her, but since it's just a game and I can't even tell her to get the f**** off my ship ala Allers...
Well I like Kaidan, he's my favourite character along with Miranda, Legion, and Mordin. I also like EDI, but she always dies at the end.<_<
