So, I'm on the last quest of the game. And it's looking like I'll never finish it.
I enter the docks, I run down the street to the first intersection, I get Zerg rushed by shades, and then a pride demon pops out and kills my entire party. Every time. Usually in under a two minutes.
Doesn't matter who's in my party. Doesn't matter what difficulty I set it to. They all die. The pride demon apparently has this power (which I don't recall any of the previous pride demons I fought using) that surrounds a party member in this white cloud, and then they die. They can't attack, they can't heal, whatever. They just die.
(And you know what the biggest kick in the teeth is? I sided with the mages. I sided with the goddamn mages and they're going to kill me anyway.)

I remember back before the patch. You could get a two-handed guy with whirlwind and wipe out those shades. Ah the good old days. After the patch it's much easier. First off kill the female bloodmage. I'd keep spread out so everyone doesn't die in the circle of death. Keep your tank alive with healing spells. Area of effect the Shades. Dog is useful in this fight. That's all I can think of.

Make sure you either have Anders with you if you aren't a mage who can resurrect your party, or that elixir/vial that can resurrect fallen companions, but darn if I can't remember the name of it!
