What am I looking at? O.o Some of the models in the list don't appear in the 'appearances' section, how come? And how does this work in game? My mind has been blown!

Im pretty sure that this particular appearance Does appear in the appearance menu.

As of CEP2.3 / 2.4 - they introduced the ability to resize monsters.

eg- Create a Goblin, that is taller than a house etc.

The way you do this, is to select one of the Appearances from the list -(in the appearance list box, not the tail/wings)
It will say Creature_No_Glow etc followed by 100 and small, medium, large, huge etc

Or something along those lines

These appearances are invisible, but when used in combo with tail types that are monster appearances - it will create a Resized Monster of [TAILTYPE]
EG - Set tailtype to be a Balor, and Appearance to be Huge - then you get

Here is an example that I did a while back.

Thanks you!! That's actually pretty cool :) Will it be at the appropriate height when you place it in the toolset or just in the game?

Also, while on the subject, I noticed there seems to be a lot of placeables and some wing models that don't have any textures (they're just white blobs), how come this is? O.o

EDIT:
"creature no glow 100" Do you hve to mathc that number with anything in particular?

Unfortunately, I dont know what the naming convention means.
But I think 50, 60, and 100 etc relate to size
That being said, there is also the Small, Medium, Large and Huge suffix too.

There are also certain creature model/appearances that when used, makes the create appear on its side- or upside down.
No idea how they would be useful - as there is no tilesets in CEP that would simulate walking on the roof - unless u placed a roof placeable at the right elevation. Even then - the world would be upside down

Yes - it shows up in toolset, you needt to place it on the map before you will see its real size.
Note - you need to get the correct Appearance type, in order to have the creatures glow/ (when selected) to match its outlight.

Some creatures are white - because they are tintable - I think you need to use a script to tint them though.
Not sure about other vfx no texture ones.
I think the wing models that are just matte white, indicate that they take their color, from the skin color during game play.

The latest version of Proleric’s "horse and scaling tutorial" in in the 1.69 Lexicon   :wizard:

CEP have added some extra appearances and "invisible" types but the system is the same.

Yes, thats the 1.69 horse/scaling system. (not CEP)

The number corresponds to what % size the scale is.

50 = 50% size (1/2 size)

500 = 500% size (5x as big)

Yeah all CEP did was add their creature appearances to tailmodel.2da.

This works really well for huge creatures - try giving a "dragon" tail to one of the "huge" appearances for a really memorable fight! The numbers refer to relative size - 500 = 500% and so on.
