These two guys have quite a large group of fangirls/boys.
Would you have Knight-Captain Cullen or Nathaniel Howe as a Romance option?

Nathanial - absolutely. Love him to bits.
Cullen - yes but would rather have Nathanial.

Cullen. Liked him ever since he was crushing on my Warden in DA:O.
Nathaniel... meh. He was OK. I liked him better than Oghren. I guess I'm just not into "broody".

Nathaniel! He's way hotter. Cullen is a bit boyish. But I would joyously romance both.

Nathaniel didn't do it for me. Too driven by revenge.
Put me down for Cullen. I like a take charge kinda guy.

I think that they could both work as a LI depending on the type of protagonist the player has and how the characters (protagonist included) evolve in the story.
I can see a devout protagonist getting along with Cullen easily, but I think a sarcastic or aggressive protagonist can eventually crack his shell and show him that there are other ways to approach the world without necessarily abandoning his values (though that could also be an option).
I can see how Nathaniel might be shown different paths as well by a protagonist. The right woman (or guy I suppose) could come along and help him let go of his rage or show him how to focus his anger.
Of course, that just complicates the peripheral stories. Yet, I think if they want to do it at all, they should go all-in and do it right.

Cullen all the way.
Although, I wouldn't mind Nathaniel too but Cullen would obviously be my first choice.

Cullen. He looks much more manly. I have an aversion to guys with long hair.

I swear, if Cullen is a companion or is romanceable in Dragon Age 3, I will literally rage.

Cullen for LI.

If it had to be one of those, I'd go Cullen, there are a lot of very interesting things that could happen with his character, lots of backstory to build upon with things that could have twisted him in various ways. He seems very passionate and kind which is great for an LI (imo)... but I still prefer the idea of mage warden with him.
oh yeah!

No matter what the game is, if there are companions, there will always be one or more who just don't do it for you. That's why we get more than one choice per class.

Of the two, if I had to choose, it would be Cullen. But, Gah, I'd do my utmost to have both!

Cullen is very handsome, but I am not sure if I LIKE him...
Nathaniel, on the other hand? I would be on him like white on rice!!!

Why you make me choose!? If I HAD to I would say Cullen. But gosh darn it I loved Nathaniel too. He was the only one, I felt, that actually grew as a character in Awakening and was my Warden's bro by the end of it.

I don't even remember Cullen in DA:O. Granted, I always play male mages, so he wouldn't have hit on me.
Nathaniel Howe all the way, because he seemed like an **** bent on revenge at first, but then came around and showed himself to be an immensely honest and straightforward man, who is also ridiculously hot.
