Nathaniel, in a heartbeat!
Would you have Knight-Captain Cullen or Nathaniel Howe as a Romance option?

Having reread some of my old fics, I'd really like to see Fergus as a LI/companion or even someone to flirt with. Not only is he easy on the eyes, but as a widower with a huge Teyrnir he's one of the more eligible bachelors in Ferelden, and has ties to Orlais (Howe had planted 'evidence' of the Cousland's complicity with Orlesians, and Bryce did seem to have at least cordial relations with an Orlesian Marquis, perhaps more than one), it's a wild off chance that we may actually see the firstborn Cousland if DA3 takes place in Orlais. I know he survives regardless of what origin choice you make (he's mentioned in Nathaniel Howe's ending card for Awakenings).
Hey, it's possible...maybe...*Merrill voice* I'm rambling, I'll just shut up now.

I just had to amplify my earlier response:
First choice: Nathaniel. (Nathaniel is my all-time favorite male Dragon Age character to date)
Second choice: Cullen.
Wouldn't kick either of them out of bed for eating crackers, though. (Just sayin')

Nathaniel all the way.
I don't really find him handsome, but he displays a great combination of courtesy, dry humor and badassery that I find pretty irresistible. His voice is amazing.
While I also love Cullen's VA, I find Cullen himself a bit... boring. He is pretty, though.
Give me Broody McBroodster any day of the week -- and twice on Sundays!
