It is one of the questions, that you have to interpretate, to understand. And it isn't easy.

First: In my opinion the Catalyst is Harbinger because the Catalyst controls the Reapers and Harbinger always assumes control.

Then:

The Catalyst told us that the Reapers are the solution for the conflicts between synthetics and organics.

But: The Geth are only the one example in this case and i had to kill to Geth on Rannoch because i have chosen wrong. But I don't think that it is very wrong. Legion is only the one I feel with. For me Geth are machines.

So what do the ending mean for the Catalyst, for Harbinger?

Destroy: The Synthetics are losing. The Catalyst said that Shepard would die and the peace wouldn't make sence, but in my ending Shepard survives. So I think that the Catalyst is trying to persuade Shepard not to kill the Reapers. Harbinger has indoctrinated Shepard. But Shepard's will is stronger. If not, then he wouldn't have the chance to choose Destroy or Control.

Control: Shepard would replace Harbinger as the Catalyst. He will lose everything and don't know whether he would really do it or not. In the end the Illusive Man is right, but then Harbinger would lose because he would be replaced. Harbinger is the Reapers, because he controlled them. Harbinger indoctrinated the Illusive Man succesfully, so Illusive Man would never assume control of the Reapers.

What do the Illusive Man want?

I think he want to control the universe. Controlling the Reapers and then he would indoctrinated everybody. Then he would controll all organics and synthetics. Nobody would be in danger but nobody would have a will.


Synthetis: Synthetis is the most honor one. Everybody would survive and Shepard would have sacrificed for them. For Organics and Synthetics to live as one.The Reapers (Harbinger) would win. He will stay alive and the Reapers will be part organic. Saren, when he was indoctrinated said that the Reapers need organics. But everybody is free...



To make it short:

Destroy: Organics' win, synthetics' lost: Reaper's lost (!), Harbinger's lost (!)
Control: Organics' win, synthetics' win, Reaper's win , Harbinger's lost (!)
Synthetis: Organics and Synthetics will be mixed, Reaper's win, Harbinger's win, Shepard's lost but honor
