BioWare hands. Please hire someone that can make hands not look like dirty pizza dough.

Most appendages in DA2 looked like a hot pixel mess.

In DAO, hands were huge compared to the size of the bodies they were attached to, but they at least resembled hands. I can forgive my female Warden's man hands, but those awful dough blobs were just cringe-worthy.

This is actually one of the better examples of hands in DA2. Aveline got the raw end of the deal, but I haven't found an image to illustrate that yet...

Oh man the hands were terrible. Bony, misshapen ugliness. Lol, Bethany has Skeletor hands.

Of course they are , she's a witch. burn her, BURN HER!

My problems lie with the lack of dirt and the devoided life of the streets.

The "little" things.

Like, no bow strings, floating swords, or no scabbards.

Autodialogue (and autoreactions) are pretty problematic, especially in ME3. That one time when EDI tells a joke and BioWare insists that my Shepard doesn't get it (and is, in fact, taken aback in horror) is a huge dealbreaker. Or "stupid jellyfish" thing. Or Kaidan "pillow talk" in the hospital.

It's one thing to railroad me, it's another to force opinions and emotions on me. I really hope that kind of thing doesn't rear its ugly head in DA3.

Lack of an elven playable character.
Lack of at least one elven LI.
Lack of Shianni.
Lack of elves in general.

(I like elves.)

I'm confused by what you guys mean by auto-dialogue in ME3. What are you talking about specifically? Isn't that a feature you can turn off? Or am I thinking of something else?

I think it means where your character just says something that may well be out of character without the player selecting any dialogue option. It's usually just one or two lines at a time. And if it is that, I second it.

Yup that's right. And PLEASE no such thing in DA3 Image IPB. Hearing my PC say something 'out of the blue' that isn't in the behaviour of my ingame PC would kill the game immersion for me at that point..

If used carefully and sparingly, auto-dialogue is okay but when it has your character flirting with another character against your wishes or apologizing for failing a mission regardless you are a renegade or paragon, then it stops feeling like your character.

Yes, the only time I would accept it, would be is you selected a dialogue option, said your line, your friend said his and you continued to speak in the same way in your previous tone. Like if you chose a jokey option, the companion joked with you and you continued having funtimes with your friend. Image IPB

Agreed.

In ME3 there are four kind of dialogues. One is merely combat banter. That's fine, after all you are busy fighting, so auto-dialogue is appropriate here. Then there is the conventional dialogue involving the wheel and cinematics. That one is simplified. The "middle" option is supposed to be the neutral option and that one is mostly gone. Then there are cinematics with dialogue, but without the wheel. A lot of people do not like that one, because you still have to pay attention, but you have no control over it whatsoever and your character may respond not to your liking. Then finally we have monologue which is activated by clicking the character and then that character says something. No cinematics are involved. Obviously no interaction is required either. At best another character (not the player) can add something as well. This was first introduced in ME2 and was used by Zaeed and Kasumi. Many didn't like it, but for some reason all characters in ME3 have these monologues now whenever their regular dialogue runs out. It's a kind of filler that adds nothing, although sometimes it is used in ME3 by NPCs to add a new fetch quest.

I thought DA2 did the auto-dialogue pretty well, because of the personality system. If they keep that system for DA3, I won't mind auto-dialogue too much. Always made me smile when my Hawke strutted into the room with a sarcy comment without prompting.

Things that would irk me:
- Return of DA2s art style
- The classic Bioware plot (Recruit faction x for battle against y)

DA2 combat.

This

Oversized weapons
Extreme exaggeration with the artstyle
PC that is forced to be passive
Being able to cast spells in the middle of a city and no one notice
Companions that the PC has to beat off to keep them from having sex
No dwarven females
The shopping system in DA2/ME2/ME3
Semi-Fixed PC(either let me define the PC or have them pre-defined)
Current Paraphrase system
Voiced PC(only for player generated PC)

In the game? No way to tell yet as almost nothing has been revealed.
In general? The fans who get everything about the story wrong. Again.

No, because that would derail the thread in a discussion about the merits of DA2's narrative.  If additional clarity is what you're asking for, then I mean certain narrative interpretations that are common on the BSN about DA2 (and DAO for that matter) are completely wrong.

I don't look forward to arguments of that nature after DA3 is out, but they're gonna happen.  Because so few people pay attention and think.

That's it really.

I would be "irked" if it had any of the following from DA2:

1. The Elf design. DA:O had it right, they where shorter than there male/female Human counter parts, a bit more slender, and had pointed ears.

2. The combat. Way too over the top and repetitive("press a button, something AWESOME happens!" spoiler, that button is always "A") And as I recall, no matter your weapon you were LEAPING from target to target.

2. The dialogue wheel. Seriously. Leave that in ME. DA is a more "pure" RPG and players tend to like to know exactly what they are going to say and they like to have a good amount of choices in what they say.

And I would also be irked, if we were stuck, yet again, in a pre-defined human role(already has a set name, background, and history). Give us back our choice, damn it. You can give us all that choice in DA:O and then yank it away in DA2(and possibly, 3).
