One thing I loved about DA:O was the uniqueness of the character creations before the stories merged into the main game.
I hope that the ability to choose from the multiple races is brought back. Human, Dwarf (caste or casteless), Elf (city or Dalish) and perhaps the Qunari (Perhaps followers of the Qun or Tal Vosh) with their redesigned look could be brought in as a playable race (although this maybe a little more work based on how their race's beliefs are almost as much a part of them as their blood).
Also, the various openning stories added to the continued replay interest. I also noticed that in origins occasionally the story was different based upon your openning story, which also added to the replay.
I did enjoy the VO, and it might require alot of work to record the VO for each various race for cinematic cutscenes. I also like the tons of different specializations for each class and hope that more than just 3 are available. The idea of performing quests or discovering them was fun in DA:O. For instance, the story quests of discovering the arcane warrior path from the dalish ruins was cool.
It would also be cool to have the events of the previous games effect the present time. Perhaps Alistar is king if you chose him, and the events of Witch Hunt could come into play. Also perhaps incorporate unique racial and class based side quests that can grant unique rewards, a racial based specialization or gear. So that each time you play, your decision to play as that race or class could be a unique experience.Posted Image

Agreed. In short, DAO was pure magic. I don`t understand all the changes in DA2. If it ain`t broken, why fix it? I can give Bioware credit for trying something bold and new in DA2, but at least accept that origins was better and go back to what made it so special.

I pretty much agree with the OP. Races and Origins are a huge part of what made the first game special, and should return.

To me one of the key elements in a role-playing game is character design and if the world you are playing in has different races those should be options for the PC. DA:O allowing this plus separate background stories was pure genius. At any cost they should do something like this again.

Playing Skyrim now and honestly I couldn't image how short the game would have been to me if I was only allowed to play a Nord or one of the other races. So far I'm 780+ hours into Skyrim and I still have role-playing ideas in my head involving different races and such. Just wish they had the background stories like DA:O, but TES games have never had that.

If we get multiple races, which i pray we do, they will not have different voice actors. It is incredibly expensive and takes up a lot of space on the disc. So the only way we will get multiple races is if they find a voice that fits all the different races.

Ways to customize your character further as the game goes on. New beards, or dye for clothing/armor. It's another type of loot to find! I appreciate Bioware's artists wanting to make characters recognizable, but that should be THEIR characters. The PC should be YOUR character, part of the game I've always like is deciding what MY character is like!

Don't make me play thorugh a prologue to get to character creation. That was a pain in the %$#&*#^$#&$ &@%.

The more customisation the better. If Bioware could, I'd like to see a way to alter the voice, maybe the pitch and the like.

I definitely want multiple Origins to return, though I doubt it will...but in all honesty i'll be fine as long as they change the graphics.I couldn't customize my male or female Hawke in DA2,because of the new graphics they were using. No matter what I did they always came out looking retarded. Also why couldn't we customize their default appearance,no complaint on Lady Hawke but I've always hated that beard on the male Hawke :P

I just want scars and the ability to alter the default. Multiple races would be nice, but I don't think it's likely.

I would also love the ability to alter the defaults.
More customization for eyes/nose/mouth shape, like width.

I liked the ME2 and ME3 armor customization. Maybe I'd like to see something similar in Dragon Age 3 for the main character...

but I also like to customize companions' equipment, so maybe they could let you choose between 2/3 different little changes on the armor they wear, like an evolution of the outfit, as they level up...

There could be a new faction of poachers that track down the rarest of beards and cut them off to sell on the beard black market. There would be posters around cities and other settlements with manly humans and dwarves to inform the general public about the atrocities commited by these monsters.

The PC could either be a complete mercenary and join them for the hunt or support the T.S.P.B.S. (Thedasian Society for the Protection of Bearded Sentients)

Character customization is essential but I am a bit annoyed of the fact that when I get to the customization screen none of the selections look anywhere near as good as the default face. This was especially apparent in DA2 but it didn't bother me too much because I liked the way that the default Hawke looked. It is a bit of a slap in the face to fans when a persons spends their money on a game and expects to customize their character the way that they want, only to have to settle for the default look because the selection that they have to choose from don't measure up. If BW wants to ensure that their fans own their experience with their character then this is the place to start imho.

I want DA Origins 2 please. Let me choose my race, my class, and my gender, and make my choices have consequences.

Chosing height and muscle mass etc, would be nice too. Drakensang 2 had this, and thats a low budget game. There is no reason why a Bioware shouldn`t have this either. That is: unless the time and resources went to creating a multiplayer mode for the game...

My wish list:

- race selection
* different reactions based on my chosen race from NPC would be good, they kinda did it with Origins, but not as much as they could have.
- height, muscle mass sliders
- better hair options
* something past the shoulders for females would be amazeballs
* keep the hair movement animations, loved it in DA2, made it seem like real hair...at least compared to Origins
- body tatoos would be interesting, though not a must for me
- more sliders for the mouth, eyes, and nose so i can adjust width shape etc

Oh, and lets not forget something like the black imporium that lets me change appearnace mid game

yeah, I agree on that, default does look better.  Fortunately I'm on the PC version and just downloaded a mod that let me customize the default face so I was able to make a great looking face with some tweaks.  But yeah, would've been nice to be able to do that without the mod.

Was also really nice to be able to change my appearence mid-game.  Went back to DAO after DA2 and got tired of my haircut after a few hours but didn't really feel like making a new character just to get a different hairstyle.
