Three things still need to be changed:

1. Charge glitch de-syncing you from the game, causing you to be unable to interact with anything (mobs, environment, et al) and floating in the sky or under the world.

2. Slash needs to stop shaking the screen (for other players, or completely if it's not possible to separate).

3. Voicechat needs to *work*. Just *remove* all-the-time detection protocols and force push-to-talk (right now it tries to detect if you're talking when you push-to-talk, resulting in nothing happening).

If these three changes happen, I guarantee you'll see a huge swell in MP players and enjoyment of said players.

This. Absolutly destroy with it, and so much nicer to hear than &#^($ biotic slash every 3 seconds.

the new Charge + Phase Disruptor is a pretty powerful combination.

I agree with Thessaly - Moon Witch. They need to remove the screen shaking everytime you use biotic slash. It's annoying for the people who are close to the Slayer.

biotic charge buff is awesome. now my krogan does over 1000 damage with it. super sweet!
cooldown nerfs for the slash attacks doesn't phase me one bit. they're still strong as hell. i just won't be able to shake the screen as much for other players that are trying to snipe enemies lol

change is good. life is good.

How is adding  ~0.5 seconds to the cooldown (if that) completely crippling it? This is exactly what toning down is for me. Before that, the cd was way too generous given the intensity of the power. Sure, it's never fun to see your abilities getting weakened, but some changes are actually justified.

N7 Shadow still needs a buff or a fix with her shadow strike. Chances are you are probably gonna be detected and start getting shot at half the times right after or even before you hit your target. It is too unreliable to be used throughout an entire game. So either make a damage immunity before uncloaking from shadow strike or undetectable by enemies before you hit them. Since now that you nerfed the electric slash, making the class useless in platinum.


So not correct. The class never even needed a point in ES in order to be viable on Plat (less so against the Reapers, with SM's final rank bugged). If you're getting detected so often, it can mean one of the three things: 
- you simply allow enemies to spot you before cloaking, 
- you stay in melee range for much longer than necessary, 
- or you end up with very laggy hosts that delay your actions (and Shadow is just as sensitive as most Vanguards in that matter).

Weird! It must be lag-related then. To me, it was always clear the staying in cover doesn't let the shockwave stagger you. Quickly ducking down when it approached yielded mixed results and yesterday, it always staggered me. But now, it's back to not-staggering.

You can't compare the Slash/Smash attacks to anything else, power or weapon, based upon the simple fact that they 'shoot through freaking walls'.

They can be used with absolutely no danger to oneself while doing so. The screen shake is indeed annoying, but this is the part that sets them apart from other powers and why it's a problem for them to just be easily spammable (not that this balance change actually did much to alter that).

Now I'm not overly concerned with the powers myself because I've never actually run into an instance where players with them effectively abuse this fact, whether because of the damage of the ability versus the animation time... or just the likely hood that many of them tend to get killed from behind while focusing ahead.

Either way, it doesn't seem too out of balance... but don't try to pretend that it's in any way similar to anything else in the game.

You know, every time they change something, they should give everyone a free power reset. Can you still get off two cloaked Electrical Slashes without the duration evolution, or do I gotta re-spec?

Like the Vangard buff, love playing them, but with problems in the "Y" button (X-Box) not always working (hitting it at least 3 times and praying it will work), along with the syncing problem, I never attempt to try them on Gold. Maybe this buff will help!

who here feels the enemy ai are so tough they are discriminating against the lesser experienced players? it one thing to improve the balance of our own abilities as players it a bit extreme for some players- not necessarily myself who have less experience to come against enemies with much more shield and damage per shot than necessary right? hasn't anyone noticed the big downside to the balance changes?

 Tired of anything you guys do thats a nerf, the only people that complain are the people who never try or always fail platinums. quit rewarding them. this is a CO OP game for a reason. quit screwing us over Bioware. im about to give up on you guys. your ruining your own game that you ONCE made so great. Now im tired of it. THANKS FOR NOTHING!!!

Yeah, no.  I played my Shadow quite fine thank you.  Tac Cloak, Electric Slash if I wanted to instead of Shadow Strike.  Shadow Strike if I wanted to and it was safe to.  Electric Slash if I had to stay inside a hack circle or something, etc.

Bioware, all the buffs on that list? Good, good. Nerfing stuff? Yeah......not so much. So thank you Bioware. Thanks. You made a good game(I won't say great since that was the previous MEs.). Now? You're giving it a dosage of poison while it is already dying like all games do.  Bring on the hate people, BRING ON THE HATE.

Annoying ability that did immense damage, hit multiple enemies, and could be executed from complete safety and allowed players to clear entire waves with no skill. Good nerf.

The buffs are good too.

This. reducing the cooldown to avoid spamming is fine, but if you're going to do that, don't make it quite so dangerous to use in the first place. That's my concern about the change more than anything. The characters are still very squishy, and if they can't quickly follow up as quickly, they should get a little more durability. Nothing too major, but either damage redection while they "dance", or remove a step from it.

Please nerf the shooty classes as they are more powerful than all the power classes on EVERY map, not just the commonly "farmed" ones. Especially nerf all guns that can shoot through walls and please remove the ability of guns to shoot through cover. Or maybe give them a cooldown whenever a bullet is fired through cover. Thanks for considering these proposals for beginning to restore the balance between shooty classes and power classes. :wizard:

Most sound fine, I don't carry any of those weapons so that doesn't matter to me one way or another, and the buff to the Vanguard sound nice, but I am not at all happy about the cool down on the shadow. I know some feel like it is spammed or op but really it is a shadow's only ranged ability meaning Atlas/Banshee etc. are going to be next to impossible, at least for me now. I don't carry a heavy weapon with her because I want the quick recharge but that means EL is almost all I got against the big boys. Not to mention hacks/escorts/lz extractions where moving about the map is limited, I feel like my hands were just tied in a major way with my favorite character. Hopefully it won't show up as bad in actual game play as it looks in black and white but right now 3 seconds seems like forever.

Sure won't get no hate from me, I couldn't agree more. That slash was the only defence aginst large groups where a strike would be suicide or in the hacks and escorts where your trying to be a team player and not just run all over the map doing your own thing. Now we're as good as sitting ducks for up to 8 seconds which can be an eternity when you can't really hide.

That's a really good point, I just promoted for the operation weekend so I have to sespec anyway but I hadn't thought of that. I would make that choice pretty much a no brainer if you can't. I don't remember how long the cloak last but it seems like if you were at 8 seconds for your recharge you wouldn't make it depending on how you leveled your cloak.

There is something which nobody talked (or few discussed) here: Characters N7 were launched and the gamers could choose them according to his preferences. Now, Bioware make changes affecting the jogability. This is a fact... But the question is: This is fair?

I liked play with N7 Shadow Infiltrator. But now, Electric Slash Power was cooldown increased from 5 to 8 seconds.

NOTE: Don't matter if you like or dislike this particular change. This is not the point! The point is: If someone choose this character as favorite, why Bioware think his changes can be legitimate?

I recommend Bioware concentrate in bugs (various!) still happening in multiplayer mode. Bioware should work hardly to solve various and persistent/ridiculous bugs; Focuses in this REAL game experience problem! Because the "balance" is a minor problem for the moment, believe me.
