So my hard drive recently experienced Error 74, rendering all of my saves unavailable to me. I know Shepards started on another hard drive are locked to that hard drive, not the player profile, so I can't reach my characters by downloading my profile onto another hard drive. So I'm going to be buying a new xbox soon and starting over, but, in the meantime, would I be able to start a character on Mass Effect that would be saved onto a flash drive? Would I be able to access DLC on the hard drive? Would I be able to import that Shepard to ME2 and 3?

Also is it possible to transfer memory from an Original Xbox 360 hard drive to the new Xbox 360 using the hard drive transfer cable?
