First: I hate it when my screen is shaking when I try to shoot anything, but I'm getting sick and tired by all the nerfs fans on this site. 99% of the time they too are an one trick pony. Get GI; cloak, shoot proximity mine, shoot Claymore, cancel reload and evade, rinse and repeat.
Just look at all the 'beat map on Gold/Platinum in less than ... topics', most of the teams are Infiltrators equiped with a shotgun. It's really pathetic.

If you have two weapons, and they don't both have a melee mod, your strikes with the non-melee weapon won't be as powerful.  Maybe that's what you were experiencing.

I am pretty sure both of my weapons have melee mode on. Pistol/Rifle/shortgun. That's why I tend to stay away from SMG. I really hope SMG can have a melee mode.

He was serious. I think. The Shadow and the Slayer are hard to kill classes. Even if you don't spam slashes from behind the walls.

You can spec the Shadow Strike to refill your shields.

As for the Slayer, you can refill shields by charging, and you have the light melee damage reduction. The damage reduction is so high that you can literally stand in front of a Prime and melee it, then charge, etc... to death. Like a Kroguard. And that's on Gold/Plat.

Do know that the Shadow Strike Shield refilling evo only works if the target has shields/barriers over a bar of health, and if they have less shields than your max, then you won't get a full refil.

TC helps make the shadow "hard to kill" though.

hehe, no need to get excited, I can still shake the screen with Shockwave at an even lower recharge speed. More screen shake YEEESSSSS!

But seriously... I just tried it out, it is not much of a difference. I use ES only occasionally, so I do not care about the nerf.

The only interesting question is: 'Was this another forum-induced nerf?'

I personally think the shield refill could only make you die faster. Mobs with shield are usually harder to kill. You either endup SS a mob with shield and the mob is still alive after SS or SS and kill a mob which doesn't have shield, which makes shield drain totally useless.
In the first situation, the mob still a live, you either have to run away or try to kill. If you try to kill, it will break TC even you pick bonus power evo. If you try to run, the point of SS does not fulfilled. No mob was killed.
I choose max SS damage and strip mobs shield before SS if possible or necessary.

More so if they went with the 200% cool down, its a change that amounts to roughly 1/3 of a second maybe...

Its noticable but not enough to bother me on a few plat runs post change.

The only mobs with shields ive had live through a SS are Phantoms and pyros on gold and plat.  And ofcourse the boss mobs.  I speced my for a DoT and 9 times out of 10 the dot is enough to kill the mob i just hit.  Pyros live due to the damage reduction of their armor and phantoms just have so much barrier.

If you're not killing shielded mobs (Centurions, Marauders, Rocket Troopers, etc), in a single TC > SS combo, your build may be inefficient or you may need to equip melee mods, gear and consumables. See the build and guide in my signature to learn the way of the Shadow.

Seems like whoever ends up at the top of the kill scoreboard list gets targeted for nerfing. Shadows are typically at the top. So, who will be nerfed next? I say Kroguards since they frequently reach the top. They can share in the beat stick next. How about drop their running speed to half to compensate for their ridiculously unnecessary buff on Charge?

I don't understand why everyone is ****ing about this. If you are tired of people spamming ES/BS then leave the game! Play with new people! My god. You're ruining it for the rest of us. I like to win matches and if spamming biotic slash keeps the rest of my team alive or helps the person recovering the object/uploading stuff safe from the baddies then you better believe I'll keep using biotic slash. Why don't you just nerf bullets next? I feel like all the complainers need to get out of elementary school and stop tattling to bioware just because they don't like something.

What are you going to start ****ing about next? Is the Fury too powerful because they keep stealing your kills?

Now that you mention it, they could reduce weapon damage and accuracy by 50% unless behind cover to punish heavy weapon users.

They could give all enemies the ability to grab over cover (that would be sweet) to punish farmers and squatters.

They could remove all invulnerability modes from special animations.

Lots of possibilities.  I wonder who would stay and who would leave.

Your logic seems to have a hole in it.


That hole was caused by the 1 damage bullet.  Probably used a Geth SMG to fire it.
