I cannot imagine platinum ever being brought into operations. This is probably something like kill x million geth primes or hunters, or take x million rocket trooper rockets to the face, though that would only take 5-6 matches at the rate they fire them.

Platinum is not a mix of metals, I do not think that will be a condition.  I do not think Platinum extractions will be the issue.
