Well I can't say that I am all that well versed in DAO just yet (I'm just finishing the install now!) but So far from reading the manual and a little of the Collector's Edition Prima book (got them both tonight for gifts) I would have to say an Elf Mage or perhaps Elf Rogue. I've always felt the allure of spellcasters in games though sometimes up close in the grit of it is fun too.

I like being a Female Human/Elf Mage... with the specialties Arcane Warrior and Blood Mage... and my favorite combat style is the dual weapons one ... yea.. I know... no thieving abilities but Leliana and Zevran can take care of locked chests and disarming traps...
