I have all but finished the Secret Bone Hill Part 1
I have completed the Gnoll attacks quest.
Have told Yalta about ogre/mage leading them.
I have defeated both sets of bandits.
Have told Sir Billy Bob about clearing the bandits
I have cleared Bonehill including acquiring the horn and cleansing the castle.
I have done the Reddy Forest fetch and carry quest.
I have the glorious hand, and a note about it.
However Pelltar will not allow me to return to the Sword Coast.
Does anybody have any idea why?
He has not gone searching in the library to find the information about it.
I returned to him before returning the black opal. Could that be the reason?
Is there a way of sorting things using Shadowkeeper.

I have completed the mod in the past and really enjoyed it, but this time I seem to have forgotten something and I don't know what. Posted Image

I have discovered that I spoke to Welcar and Pelltar in the wrong order and am therefore trapped. Posted Image

It shouldn't make any difference but it does.

I will have to check the variables using Shadowkeeper so that I can correct things and also let people at Spellhold know the problem.

The main problem with the mod is that it does not allow things to be done in a different order to the one that the mod writer expected.

Is there a reason why you can't use the console to 'teleport' back to a regular BG area?

A similiar bug has happened to me a few times, too. You need to go to the hanging tree and talk to the guards there, they should say Ravela was on guard duty when the famous highwayman was hanged a couple weeks ago etc and summon her to question. But they sometimes get bugged too and give generic replies only.

You need to talk to Ravela, who initiates the cutscene to find out the fate of Bomarc, the late lighthouse keeper. Sirius has killed him and stuffed his corpse in the tomb of that famous highwayman. (sorry I forgot his name)

Open shadowkeeper and Add a global: RavellaAppears and set it to 0. Go to temple area (bh0300) and then use CLUAConsole to create Ravela. CreateCreature('BHRAVELA') If everything is set, she should appear, talk to you and then teleport to graveyard in cutscene, you click on the grave to dig it and open the casket, to discover Bomarc's stiff corpse near that thief's rotting one, and you'll solve the mystery! Now Peltar should allow you to return.

At least this solution has worked for me everytime. If you've encountered a different bug, it may not. Oh well, try and see.

I am concerned that if I don't finish the first part of the mod properly, I won't be able to do the second part.
I may be wrong and there will be no problem, but mods (and particularly this one) often have to have the correct triggers, otherwise there are problems.

I had thought of using the movetoarea command but was trying to avoid it.

Thanks. I didn't even need to create her. Have created the Global Variable she was there and was able to continue. I still have to return to Pelltar, but I think that everything should now be Ok. I've missed out the bit where he looks for information about the glorious hand, but that;'s all, so things should probably be OK now.

Am now back on the sword Coast with no problems. The party even got the 12000 xp for finishing the quest. Another reason for not using the CLUA Console. Posted Image

Cool! I'm glad it worked!

It's a good mod, and fun to play, but it tries so hard to be as non-linear as possible that it has many loop holes, you can do something before you should have and get stucked. Part 2 is actually more fun RP-wise, with a more crime solving-mystery theme, and yet it is again so non-linear that you can get stuck or see some illogical dialogues or actions.

Some one should edit this mod to fix some of the more obvious holes and pitfalls. (like in this case, Ravela is the game stopper culprit in many games. At least a choice like 'Screw Bomarc's fate, I solved gnolls-orcs-invaders-thieves-spies problems, who cares about the grumpy little light house keeper, it's obvious he has been killed, summon his spirit and question him, send me back to Beregost I'm done!' But no, Peltar does not allow you to return until you find Bomarc's corpse.)

High level loot is another problem of this mod. I did some fine-tunning in the stores of the mod via DLTCEP (it is how I checked some dialogue files to fix the game stopper Ravela bug too), removing 6th level and higher spell scrolls and BG2-Unique weapons&items. They just don't fit in a BG1 game, IMHO. I still get quite a random drop of high lvl scrolls from many gnolls, though most of them are crap like Spellshield, Protection from Elements etc. but the very rare Smilacrum and Death Spell scrolls were valuable finds.

The scroll problem I deal with my only memorizing them. Then I cannot use them until I am a high enough level.

Getting items such as Tuigan's bow in BG1 is a bit much I agree, but if like me you are going to do the Drizzt Saga as well, you need all the help you can get.

The rest of the game even with SCS then becomes a bit too easy, which is why I do the Saga as late as possible. It should really be a BG2 mod IMO.
