So, dear AreleX and team, I have something for you. First, London Reapers Plat with no rockets in under 16 minutes is hard but relies soooo much on RNG not being an ass to you. We tried it three times tonight, every single time we got screwed over with one of London's horrid hacks. Not once, but twice per game. Throw in a drone escort here or there for good measure. I think the best we managed was just under 16 minutes when we wiped on wave 10 during the hack. So, instead of tearing my hair out I came up with an alternative. Instead of beating you at your own game, throw you something else. Do an all Locust run on Platinum without worrying too much about clear time. Whatever we got is whatever we got. And, I have to say, it's not too shabby a time.

Loadouts are as follows.






Now for the most part this was an ordinary run. The only restriction was the Locust being your only weapon. Free use of equipment, consumables and powers was allowed.



Now, a note on the partial extraction. Banshees and Phantoms can go **** themselves, that is all. I have no doubt you guys can beat this time (on this map, that is) but I'd like to see by how much. So, AreleX, have at it!

were you not the one that was arguing with me that it was impossible to do a 15 minute gold run on every map. anyone challenging team arelex to speed runs needs to do a sub 15 minute run or its not a challenge. no need to do a non challenging challenge. also in house speed run tourney starting soon so no interest myself.

Not sure the team will take this up though AreleX and myself aren't a real fan of these types of challenges/speed runs that have artificial handicaps. We just view them a tedious and a waste of consumables. We did the last one to shut up some trolling.

Yeah. Playing with artificial handicaps is a waste of consumables. I'll rather play my AP ammo 3 in a proper game. For the record, we did an all falcon run just for fun the other day. Got full extraction with a random enemy and location...

Yeah. I think so. Same enemy and map since they too didn't set it to unknown/unknown. And they didn't mention or show proof that they didn't use rockets or other consumables, i guess its ok to spam arc grenades and rockets against the me3 whipping boys, cerberus.. Just get your grenade capacity V gears ready then...

2. no video, no real proof, no competition. even if we *wanted* to do this (which i do not, because i think it's stupid), we're not going to simply take you at your word on some pictures alone.

we exist as a group to have fun and help each other, not so we can constantly have ridiculous 'challenges' forced upon us with a mix of insults and condescension. we hold the speed run records for many things. how about you try and beat those?

 That would be ridiculously easy to beat with 4 infiltrators. Or some demolishers. Or anyone that doesn't rely on the Locust. It's one of my favorite guns, even on gold, but it's horrible on plat.

If you decide to just take the easiest way out with the best gear a team can have your skills will stay only at average.
It's a matter of E-peen. And seriously you're questioning the validity of pictures. Ever heard the phrase ''pics or it didn't happen''. Pics also save space on computers. Not everyone can make videos. If you would dismiss every picture ever given to you you'd be one paranoid and misinformed person.

This'll test you and your teams skills. Not your hardware your actual skills. If you're not confident you can do it then refuse. But why should we then take you seriously when you post another speed run time?
I'm curious at the actual skill level of you and your team not your hardware. A locust only game drives you to think more as a group and find fallback ground and strategy must revolve around keeping everyone mobile in group and not seperated by ravagers and other snipers.

I sure as hell can't do it. But can you? Currently you hold the speed record for 1 map: Glacier am I correct? There's a lot more maps around you know. No ambition to conquer all that you see?

see? know-nothings like the poster above are the reason these challenges are viewed in a negative light by us. you presume to know all we do, when you really haven't the slightest clue, and then the true reason for the challenge comes out: bull**** taunts about us breaking overall speed run records, playing glacier, playing gi and qmi, and every other scrub complaint in the book.

if you're trying to get the fastest time possible PERIOD, you use the best build, the best class, the best gun, on the map most conducive to what you're trying to achieve. what prevents so many of you from getting that through your skulls? there are many examples of us playing non-glacier, but they get ignored for the sake of your flimsy, idiotic insults.

we embarrassed the last set of clowns who came in and tried to talk a bunch of s**t and made a bunch of arbitrary rules, and we could easily do the same to you. but why would we? we have nothing to prove to any of you. we want to play the game and teach people and have fun, not be bombarded with stupid challenges every few days, *whatever* your reason for doing so may be.

1. we didn't have the tournament yet. strike one as proof of you having too much to say while knowing too little.
2.. the speed runs have ALWAYS been video only counts, not pictures. this isn't me deciding to make an excuse on a whim, champ.
3. we hold the speed record for at least 4 maps. last time i checked, glacier was only one of them.
4. once again, this is not a 'we can't do it, so we make excuses because we don't want to'. this is 'we put our foot down on these stupid challenges, because if we keep giving in, every idiot and their mother will be issuing some ridiculously asinine challenge to us every day'.
5. you realize that at least 3 or 4 people have challenged us to play on their terms? and we have beaten all of them incredibly handily?
6. it's only the bad players that can't see the teamwork that goes into the runs we do.
7. no rockets, no spawn nuking, and we still got the fastest recorded firebase london clear time. and you question our skill? fine..

like, who are you? where do you get off saying anything when you know so little?

The pics are sketchy at best and prove NOTHING. They could have easily switched weapons or added a back-up in between pictures as they did with enemies if you didn't catch that. They had 2 players even get the weapon kill medal even though all 4 are weapon characters, etc.

This isn't a test of anything but our patience, it is a boring loadout on a large map meaning more time consuming (which many of us are fairly bored of the game as it is). Why would we want to waste our time with a boring challenge likes this when we can be playing something we would actually enjoy?

Maybe they didn't, but pictures alone prove nothing. They could have had a host switch in the middle causing time switch, possibly even 2 seeing as 2 of them didn't get even 25 kills with their SMG. I for one am not going to waste my time with a challenge like this, especially without a video and I hope no one else in the group does either. These stupid challenges are annoying at best and really not worth our focus. We have nothing to prove to BSN, so leave our group alone and I know I plan on leaving the rest of BSN alone.

I don't really give a motts to these speed runs or anything, at one point I considered it but... eh who cares?
My point is this, and I say this on neither side because I don't give a motts, if you're posting up speed times and having the fastest time and spreading it around, you're not really leaving BSN alone are you? If you wanted to be left to your own devices, you wouldn't post it up and shine the stick for your ego really would you?

As for challenging a group to a speed run - why? What does it prove? It proves nothing except you're trying to be better than them. Maybe they scorned you? Maybe you didn't like their routine? Who are you to 'challenge' them?

Anyway, I'm going back to browsing, I'll probably get flamed but ah well lol
