MGamerz and Kenadian please understand that whilst Team AreleX does indeed like a good challenge we will not be inclined to tackle a challenge as tedious, time consuming and boring as the one you propose. Would you really want to be in a competition where the aim is to build the Taj Mahal using only nails and twigs?

The bolded parts say it all.

Yeah it says that we don't post vids to yell about how good we area. It says that we post vids either in friendly competition with people (note the word friendly, also note the word generally before competitive) or to simply shut up people who are trolling the Join Team AreleX thread.

All we are are a bunch of guys and girls who are good at teh game and enjoy the game preferring a run and gun playstyle, a playstyle that is somewhat ruined by the camp farming in public games.

We do enjoy challenges and that's how these speedrun vids came to existance, a friendly competition between PC and 360, we won't however be elitist and go "LOL YOU CAN'T RUN GLACIER IN 14 MINUTES GET OUTTA OUR GROUP!" and we won't do pointless e-peen inflating runs like this asanine challenge. We just won't. Our time believe it or not is ours to spend. If we don't feel like wasting our time to run a pointless, tedious "challenge" likst this one then we won't. It's just that simple.

There is actually about 15 vids recorded and on youtube from Team AreleX only four have been posted on the forums. The rest are kept to the group discussion and the Join Team AreleX thread to entertain the rest of the group.

However I am just wasting my words. You are a clueless troll baselessly insulting and stereotyping a group of 160 people who just want to enjoy the game. If they happen to also record runs, so be it. If they happen to lock into friendly speedrun competitions with PC, so be it.

And if you want to believe that we are nothing but uptight egotistical elitists who are constantly flashing their e-peen on the forums despite there only being four threads dedicated to Team AreleX threads with not one of them created to inflate our peen sizes despite the fact that you are not a part of the group and therefore cannot even begin to understand the inner workings and goals of it, then so be it...

I only replied because you insulted Team AreleX baselessly and I won't be doing it again. If I haven't already drilled facts into your brain by now, I'm never going to...

We do what AreleX say because he will punish us with his goblin hunting tools if we don't. jk

We don't do what he says the group members are free to do what the want. I was apart the legion effect and like most groups its not very active for most of its members. Team AreleX is very active trying to recruit new member who want a fun experience in ME3 multiplayer. We are over 150+ member and try to play with as many as possible. We are about to have a in house speed run tournament with a fantasy style draft of team members to compete against each other in the name a friendly bragging rights in the group. In my experience Team AreleX is probably the most active group with respect to getting team members involved. Why don't you go back a few pages and look at some of the thank you messages AreleX has got from new members after matches. Alot of what is said in the thread is inside jokes and very sarcastic comments where their message gets lost over the internet.

You do realize there has been gold/platinum groups that have been formed that have had application processes and stipulations to enter. We have none yet are being called elitist. I have helped many players clear their 1st gold and platinum match let alone take on a speedrun or something more advanced.

1) Speedrunning is a skill separate from camping, one cannot possibly begin to understand the strategy of speedrunning when they are sat in the same room all game. You utilise every tool available to you to maximise killing efficiency. "Fair play" goes out of the window. It is simply gaming to win. That is the long and short of our view on speedrunning.

2) How the hell do those contradict one another? We willingly accept any and all players provided they are not D-Bags and willing to listen and learn. What I said has no link to what AreleX and all he did was speak the truth. Team AreleX are the champions of speedruns. It is clear that we are. We hold the goddamn record for christ sake!

3) He also said below "if someone brings forward something genuinely fun, have at it, but if it's some arbitrary bull**** so they can attempt to beat you on a stupid stipulation, ignore it." By arbitrary bull**** he means no Locusts on Giant runs. If it's a nice fun run and the detailed are ironed out fairly to the pleasing of both parties involved and not some handicapping stipulation that actually detracts from the fun of the game. I see a locust platinum giant run as a chore, it's not fun. Now the demolisher cerberus platinum white.... now THAT was fun... (and no that video wasn't posted on the forums...)

Thanks for the response. I re-read the post and still couldn't find it. You also compared it to our no rocket run so it got me a little confused. Also the london run wasn't are game we were goated into it and don't want to make a habit of accepted challenges like this because it could become overwhelming. If we can be apart fo the pre challenge discussion thats another story. We can then negotiate a challenge/speed run that is good for all. When we put our vids we do it because many people like seeing them and what can be done when you push everything to the limit. When people put forth challenges like this its fine and all but we don't view them as exciting? Its like you are asking all the worlds pro golfers to swing with their opposite hand or watching the NBA D-league instead of All-stars like LeBron, Kobe, and Steve Nash (Just using a easily understood analogy don't think ME3 domination is on the level of the before mentioned people). Nobody cares about the fastest Donkey in the world thats why the line up Thoroughbreds at the Kentucky Derby.

It does get old when half of a speed run thread is full of haters who don't understand the teamwork and mindset of what we are trying to accomplish. (Get out of glacier, lose your rocket crutches, Inf. are OP, etc. yet only a fraction of the people have done anything close to what we have done. People act as if we can't play any other characters and what we do takes no skill. Just shows how envious and/or ignorant they are.

I know, and I can understand where you're coming from. Personally, we did this because the game is getting boring for us too. Atleast for me, anyways. Gold with friends is fun, gold with pugs is boring. And I actually put this out because I know you guys are skilled and wanted to see how much you guys could clean the floor with us, or to just see if you'd be interested at all.

No one is "forcing" anyone's hand. We followed your rule and same set up for that Plat run because we wanted to see if we could beat that time. We (and by we I mean me) got frustrated at the RNG trolling us with hacks, so I decided to try something different. That's all. You don't want to do it, you don't have to.

Would be more interested in doing a different type of challenge like All turians/palavin/gold/reapers no weapon restrictions something along those lines. I don't really enjoy platinum and it limits many characters effectiveness. Gold challenges make for better diversity.Thats just an idea.

i'm always down for challenges like that. Gold challenegs are fun as you can pull a gold off with pretty much any handicap. platinum limits you to certain things. you can pass a platinum with bad layouts of course, but it takes a lot fo skill and teamwork sometimes to the point hwere the game becomes work and not fun. I like being able to chat with friends about w/e and not even talk about the game and just have fun running around killing

No, but I've played with all of them. I typically come in last because I can't beat claymore builds (and i'm more of a support kind of player anyways).
I know you don't speak English as your first language (you do speak it pretty well), but I find your quotes kind of funny (not in a mean way). I've never heard 'You snake in the grass!' before, I might have to try that in a post somewhere.

Also the london run wasn't are game we were goated into it and don't want to make a habit of accepted challenges like this because it could become overwhelming. If we can be apart fo the pre challenge discussion thats another story. We can then negotiate a challenge/speed run that is good for all. When we put our vids we do it because many people like seeing them and what can be done when you push everything to the limit. When people put forth challenges like this its fine and all but we don't view them as exciting? Its like you are asking all the worlds pro golfers to swing with their opposite hand or watching the NBA D-league instead of All-stars like LeBron, Kobe, and Steve Nash (Just using a easily understood analogy don't think ME3 domination is on the level of the before mentioned people). Nobody cares about the fastest Donkey in the world thats why the line up Thoroughbreds at the Kentucky Derby.

It does get old when half of a speed run thread is full of haters who don't understand the teamwork and mindset of what we are trying to accomplish. (Get out of glacier, lose your rocket crutches, Inf. are OP, etc. yet only a fraction of the people have done anything close to what we have done. People act as if we can't play any other characters and what we do takes no skill. Just shows how envious and/or ignorant they are.

I know, and I can understand where you're coming from. Personally, we did this because the game is getting boring for us too. Atleast for me, anyways. Gold with friends is fun, gold with pugs is boring. And I actually put this out because I know you guys are skilled and wanted to see how much you guys could clean the floor with us, or to just see if you'd be interested at all.

Would be more interested in doing a different type of challenge like All turians/palavin/gold/reapers no weapon restrictions something along those lines. I don't really enjoy platinum and it limits many characters effectiveness. Gold challenges make for better diversity.Thats just an idea.

I agree. The Locust challenge was just something Rokayt came up with during Operation Olympus to get it buffed, and he succeeded.  Something like a Geth vs. Geth using all Geth weapons on gold is something I had fun with. You guys could probably try that.

I'm thinking its getting close to rocket to for eveyrthing around us just as i'm about to say we should use one i hear my friend "i got it" and Boom Killstreak. Its much better then taking a prime down to 1 bar of armor and someone comes in and rockets the lone prime with one bar of armor and i'm thinking why???

QFT. I've been playing with guys like Mgamerz and Jay for months now myself, you memorize habits and such. Such as Mgamerz absolutely never having any ****ing medigels. Seriously, the guy must give them to the homeless or something.

Anyways, wasn't meant to be offensive, just don't hear people use a dialect like that often, its actually quite interesting. There's not really a way to describe what I mean.
