I fired a rocket at a Phantom and Atlas just for the heck of it. Wasn't really mission-critical or anything. Since I missed, I of course had to fire again. Because wasting one rocket on an impulse-shot wasn't stupid enough.

The sunk-cost fallacy has cost me entirely too many missiles. (I think once I might've ended up somehow wasting three on one boss mob.)

One time, me and some people I used to play with did a 500 minute gold run on white against Cerberus. Between waves, we'd let an enemy linger (found a spot where the Cerberus engineer shoots the ground when trying to hit you) while we explored. We found a ladder to nowhere near the LZ (it's off to the right from where you're facing when the match starts), but on the opposite side of the LZ from the ladder, there's another of those odd ships that seems to just be hanging there.

I fired a missile at it because I was hoping it would make the thing fall. That's the dumbest thing I've done in the MP. Well, that or the 8+ hour "speed" run. We put about 40 minutes into each map after that just looking around, exploring. Leaving a nemesis alive is fun (if you chase them, they never fire, just keep running away). There's some odd **** on those maps.

Thinking why do I keep getting Geth? Then realising I was made Leader when the host left 3 matches ago who selected Geth!

Also, thinking we had a 4-objective mission instead of a hack - I was standing about 2 feet outside the hack circle just owning stuff and doing what I thought was a great job of drawing heat and keeping it off of the person doing the objective.  I noticed it had been a while and still no "complete" announcement, so I turned around to look and saw the other 3 people in the hack circle.  Doh!

Platinum Hack Objective on Wave 10. The hack was almost finished, but i was the only one left. I had all 5 rockets left and got downed, used my last Medigel and cleared the zone with 2 rockets. Stupidly, i thought the hack would end any second, so i fired the last 3 rockets into nothing, celebrating our victory. Then, i did my victory roll with my heavily wounded QMI... into a group of Swarmers and died while being cloaked. After realizing that the Hack Objective still wasn't finished by about a freakin' millimeter, i just turned off my mic, because my friends started laughing hysterically.

I had a game where I rezzed directly into Banshee grab three rounds in a row with the last being entirely my fault.

Biotic charged out of the LZ with only seconds left until extraction. I meant to use a different power and when I saw what I did I yelled "Nooooooo!"

Stopped to get ammo for my Destroyer with seconds left on the clock until extraction. I didn't make the LZ, nor did I even fire a single shot, making my ammo stop completely pointless and even more insulting.

Getting bored of being stuck in FBW/G/G and switching to a krogan and just heatbutting everything but that was more fun than stupid.

Paying actual real money for a psp, getting burned by it not unlocking then buying another.

Trying to get 2 atlas mechs with 1 missile and missing everything, didn't even kill one of the grunts around them.

Trying to revive other players in an un-winnable situation and dying when I should have run and gun or used one of the 4 missiles I had left.

Losing track of time and not extracting.

Not sure if this is considered dumb, but today I started a match with an N7 1 in my Gold lobby. Surprisingly, nobody kicked him and since I never kick anyway, I thought it would be funny. He ended the match with 7000 points (I had 120000).

Shadow striking a Banshee and getting impaled. I sometimes get cocky with my super SS shadow and had this happen a few times before I stopped. I also avoid Ravagers now for fear of acid

Running past banshee on solo attempt during extraction wave and not missiling her. Was magnet dragged and instakilled.

Brand new cerebus vanguard level 1. First tried it by flying across the map on wave 1 into a spawn. Then couldn't figure why my smash wouldn't work and died from standing there dumbly in gunfire.

My first time playng as a Nova Guard I Biotic Charged a Brute that had full armor and got grabbed by the Banshee right next to it...

Right after the earth dlc was released, I took all six ranks of missile launcher on my newly unlocked destroyer, took him into my first platinum match, and activated it.

Much more recent: one match I got thrown into midwave w/ a packed LZ on my GE. I was in such a hurry to get out I didn't do my activate HM ritual. I didn't realize till the match ended that I played w/o HM on the whole time :/

Did same thing with my Asari adept. Played 8 wqaves against Cerberus and completely forgot I had Stasis. Kept wondering why the Phantoms were suddenly so much tougher!!
