I actually want Javik with Liara

I would give her up for Javik to be with her, I feel for him and he has no one, he lost everything that is sad

After I saw some comics in the fan creations forum did of them, I prefer Javik and Aethyta.

Think about it: Javik would be Liara's mother-in-law.

Instead of grounding Liara for doing something bad, he just throws her out the airlock.

Batarian- prologue mission has you trying to evacuate one of thier colonies before the reapers hit and one of the survivors ends up a witness at the trial. In the ensuing chaos of earths fall they are forced to tag along despite hating you and things go from there.

A batarian seems to be the most likely choice since every other humanoid race has gotten to fight by Shepard's side, and it wouldn't be difficult to create a reason for one to join. The Normandy could discover a distress signal from a ship feeling the destruction of Khar'shan, or maybe Shepard hears about a batarian refugee at the citadel who killed 500 brutes with his fists and asks him if he'd like to join.

A Batarian could work quite well, especially one who resented humanity and particularly Shepard for his actions in Arrival. The Batarian could be reluctant to join the Normandy at first but ultimately understands that helping Shepard is the best way for them to gain revenge on the reapers.

There is potential for interesting interactions with this kind of character.

That could be intresting even if Shepardo has a war hero background the Baterian could try to kill shepard a phew times or start problems on the ship

I don't agree that ME2 squadmates are just out like that... Miranda, Mordin (if he survives), Samara, Kasumi, and Zaaede all have easy ways to right them back in if Bioware wanted to actually try and make better connections between this supposed trilogy. Hell, even Jack and Jacob could be written back with some creativity.

I really don't want any more new squadies... I didn't want any new ones for ME3 to begin with. It should have been familiar faces. That is why I don't mind EDI, at least she was a presence in ME2.

So... in short: Miranda.

Seriously: Any of the ME2 squadmates. Think it is foolish to add any more new characters to the lot as we got like 9 new peeps in ME2 and we barely got to know them as there wasn't that much dialogue for each.

I don't really care either way; I just like the idea of the batarian. Nobody is going to kick Garrus or Liara out of my active party anyways. If Javik couldn't do it, nobody can.

Grunt. If you get his squad killed rescuing the rachni queen then he has nowhere else to go really, although he may be a bit bitter towards Shepard to begin with. I missed having a krogan.

If they went with a new character instead, I like the idea others have had about a batarian.

I wouldn't want more than 7 squadmates though tbh. The smaller squad allowed them to make the characters interact more.

I could see them actually doing a Batarian but who else could you see Bioware actually implement into the story that would have good dialogue etc.

There is one character no one has mentioned yet that would have some awesome dialogue throughout some very important moments of the game if they were to join up with Shep and no one can slap the "they could have died" label on them either. Any guesses at who that might be????

They could also add a story arc type mission (almost like the loyalty missions in ME2) to this character if they got creative enough for it.

Aria, because apparently she's a decent fighter. A vanguard is a squadmate we are missing and she could fit right in there fine.

Drell of some sort. Liaras buddy. Or some random, but not as cool as Thane, guy.

And a Salarian. Maybe that one form the citadel with his badass armor he got from that chick.

Ok yeah scratch the Geth Prime from my Realistic choices you make a good point that they could all be destroyed so that's my bad lol go a little to excited there hehe.

Along with Aria, there are several characters feasible without the death label:
Feron, said by someone above me.
Rentola, served under Kirrahe on Virmire

Them three seem to be the most feasible.
