Aria and a Batarian as squadmates would make the most sense and add probably the most dialogue and story depth.

Aria - Aria would add scenes and dialogue to and with Wrex, Kai Leng, TIM, The Normandy Crew and possibly give us more Mercenary content like ME2. So the possibilities are kind of endless there and actually reasonably possible to implement from Bioware's stand point.

A Batarian Squadmate- well heck they already have the character model in multiplayer all they need to do is slap some dialogue on him and a back story of some sort and maybe a history lesson about the Batarians and there you go YOUR BATARIAN SQUADMATE.

These two seem like the most viable options and most realistic ideas for Bioware to pursue and the possible variables are not nearly as complicated as bringing say a possible dead character back on the scene.

Anyone else would not make a whole lot of sense unless they are just a purely brand new character.

I for a change do not want another Krogan teammate. They're damn boring, and they all have the same story AKA infertility.

Batarian- We have yet to have a single positive light shone on the species, and we have almost no information on their culture... however, knowing Bioware, they won't give him anything interesting to say. However, maybe they would surprise me with some quality.

Vorcha- Second verse, same as the first. Although, we don't really have any pure-evil renegades on the squad. All we have is Javik, and he's just a troll. I'd like to see a psychopathic pyro Vorcha added to the squad.

Krogan- Vega doesn't cut it, and we've had a krogan on the squad in both of the other games.

Salarian- Just because we don't have one.

Raloi- It would be a nice way to introduce the species that they created and then never did anything with.

FemTurian- The only Turian that has ever been on the squad has been Garrus, and we've never seen a female Turian in-game.

The ME2 squad stuff is not going to happen unfortunately, so any alternatives?

After playing so much multiplayer, and playing as an engineer, I wished that I'd have picked up a second biotic crew mate at some point for some biotic detonations. Only option right now is for me to play me2 and me3 again this time with a biotic character.

I'm going to have to say Grunt to fill in the Krogan squad member. After the Rachni battle, his whole platoon was wiped out. Wrex said we'll patch him up and get him back in the fight. The thing is it clearly says that his platoon was wiped out during the Rachni mission in the War assets. So I'm pretty sure he had nothing to do. Should of joined Shepard on the Normandy.

What if you kill the queen and Grunt';s plattoon isn't wiped out?

Yes, him too.

Jacob is as boring as drying grey paint on a sunday afternoon on the Neutral Homeworld, and he went from a side-game character to being in the main game. Mr. Ezno would be a welcome squadmate.

Aria is a no brainer for Bioware to implement, I hope Gamble makes it happen because he did say in an interview that Aria was his favorite character so if anyone can make it happen it is him. Please please pretty please lol!!!!

Didn't even think about that...
I only did one play through and never tried to kill the Queen.
Maybe Grunt would join up on his own choice to FIGHT with Shepard again?  I can imagine that happening.

What about Captain Riley, from the N7:Fuel Reactors side mission? I bet they could make her a sexy hot badass ball bustin female commando love interest. She's a N7 after all. I'd love to hear Cortez and Garrus and Joker and Javik teasing James about having another 'Lola' as a N7 trainer, for one thing. And it'd be kinda like having Ash from ME1 back for missions. I'd be okay with that. Ash is a better alliance soldier than spectre anyway.
