I don't know why so many people want a krogan just for the sake of having a krogan. I've met plenty of dumb krogan throughout the games who I wouldn't want anywhere near my ship.

We have all been there done that with Krogan it is time for something different, atleast we had the luxury of having the two most powerful Krogans in The Galaxy in our squad Wrex and Grunt so we have to be fortunate for that...........what we need is another Asari (other than Liara I am tired of her ugh) Aria please please come onboard, maybe another Drell or something but we have had enough Krogans and Humans, maybe a male Quarian or another Geth, just somethin different.

A sword wielding, close-quarter-combat type of character, like Kai leng/N7 shadow/Phantom. That would be pretty sweet.
A Batarian would also be possible.
I don´t think vorcha would work, cause they are pretty dumb lol

A Batarian will most likely be the addition to keep things interesting and to build off of Arrival. A Krogan or Salarian would be preferable.

A Batarian and Aria are probably going to happen, those are really the only ones I see having any type of real impact on the overall story.

lol. Why would they pick a character that could be dead for DLC?

Say they create a DLC which allows Jacob to become a squadmate. Why would anyone purchase it if Jacob dies in their ME2 game?

There would be no point in buying it.

It would be too much work for too little reward and they are simply unlikely to make a DLC which cannot be utilised by everyone.

Aria and Anto(her batarian guard) or the other Batarian that tried to scan Shepard when first meeting up with Aria in ME2.  Grizz is awesome too because of his purely awesome name....but we don't need another Turian.
The thing is, I was expecting them to be with her at the Citadel but they probably got buried in the Cerb mess on Omega.

1. They would never have Jacob DLC as he isn't a popular character.
2. If a person only plays the ME series once and only in one way they probably aren't buying DLC anyway.

I'd go with Aria, Jack and Miranda.

I would love to take Jack or Miranda to Cerberus HQ. Or even Aria just to see what she does to Kai Leng as vengeance for her daughter.

Doesn't Aria still believe that Grayson killed her daughter?

The Jacob example was hypothetical. It could apply to any potentially dead character.

Many of the people I know who own the Mass Effect games have one playthrough of ME1+ME2. The BSN is not the entire Mass Effect 3 DLC consumer base and many players do not have multiple playthroughs.

Unless I'm very much mistaken, Jack is dead in all default versions of Mass Effect 3 which means that players who have only played Mass Effect 3 would be unable to utilise any squadmate DLC which is released for her.

I'd love to see DLC with old squadmates but I still maintain my opinion that any DLC which is dependant on specific choices is unlikely. I really hope I'm wrong but I simply cannot see why any company would release DLC which cannot be downloaded and more importantly paid for by their entire player base.

That's not to say that characters such as Miranda/Jack can't return in a temporary squadmate capacity (Like Liara in LoTSB) since even if they are dead they can be replaced by another character as a temporary squadmate. I doubt they'll achieve full squadmate status within the game though.
