I have. But I think it still isn't as epic as Soul Edge's intro.Kaiser Shepard wrote...
Clearly you haven't ever played Soul Calibur II.horacethegrey wrote...
Soul Edge - A change in name to Soul Calibur, five sequels later along with improved graphics, and Namco still hasn't topped this amazing intro to their sword fighting series.

Legacy of Kain Soul Reaver Intro
Anybody who played the original Blood Omen had to be shocked at this intro. Not only was it a radically different direction, it chose the "evil" path in Blood Omen. Basically, Kain(original protagonist) destroyed the world and built his own empire where vampires are gods. He destroyed the pillars of balance and mocked the world by making it his seat of power. Kain eventually mutated over time and enslaved what remained of the human race.
I wish they'd revive this fantastic franchise. Defiance was suppose to conclude everything but all it did was leave unanswered questions...

Full Throttle, "Legacy" - One of the most badass intros to grace my Computer/TV screen.
Chrono Cross, Time's Scar. No explanation required here.
Secret of Mana, Banishment. Within the prologue of that beautiful gem of a game, you perform a seemingly sacriligious action, and are banished from your own hometown. This was also listed in GameInformer as one of the most powerful moments of their gaming history.
Honorable Mentions: Mega Man 2's Main Screen Introduction. God of War 3's Insane Budget-Breaking Prologue. Phantasmagoria's Intro movie.

Fallout 2
PIP-Boy + humourous G.E.C.K./Vault Instructional information slideshow + Ron Pearlman's "War... war never changes..." line + 1940's/50's American music + creepy atmosphere + more = hauntingly epic video game intro.

Kingdom Hearts 2 - I know a lot of people don't care for Hikaru Utada, but she's a big part off why I like this intro. That and the gorgeous visuals.

World of Warcraft: The Mists of Pandaria - I know I'm a little late to the party here, as some of you have probably seen this already. But it's a hoot watching a human and an orc getting their ass kicked by a kung fu fightin panda.

It's a bit of a fact that when a Japanese person(yes I know she is American) who is in the entertainment biz goes on hiatus, it's always because they are lazy.
So it's not so much people thinking she is lazy, it's that they know she is lazy.

Easily the most shocking intro ever. Especially if you played the original before it, Blood Omen.

Eh, I thought they answered all the questions which Soul Reaver 2 introduced (thankfully) regarding Raziel's destiny, the fate of the pillars, etc. The only thing we didn't actually get to do was finish off the Elder God, which leaves the series open for expansion. I would definitely love another Legacy of Kain game, but as far as ending points go, it could have been far far worse.
But yeah, that intro is bloody fantastic.
