Ok...here is the video with a Typhoon X :

My setup is as follows :
Devastator mode is specced for 30% weapon damage , ROF & accuracy bonuses
T5-V battlesuit all specced for weapon damage - 27.50%
Consumbles/Gear used : AP ammo 3 , Assault rifle rail amp 3 , Assault rifle amp gear V

Edit : looks like there is some issue with the enhancements. Let me fix it.

Edit 2 : I will have to re-upload it seems. Looks like the video is out of focus.

Thanks, I know its a lot of work to capture, edit, upload.  I'm interested because I have not been able to take out a Gold atlas in one clip so far ( tried twice this weekend and one match last night ).  Its hard to get an example where your are the only one shooting at it, lol.


Yep...i had to make multiple attempts to get a atlas all for myself:P. I actually had success capturing 2-3 clips where i managed to kill it all by myself. Uploading the best possible one.

Say that the Typhoon can 1 mag an atlas.


Also: A miscellainious fact: Apparantly the Atlasses hull is hollow, which causes AP rounds to cause shots to hit the atlas twice when fired at the window on it.

This news was all the heat back when I used the Raptor. B)

With the on gun magazine upgrade, and the destroyers ammo perk from devestator, as he has stated it...

He is getting  +115% mag size....

So 214 rounds.

This is stupid because the PPR shares the same niche, is lighter, and of course, infinite ammo.

The Typhoon, pre-nerf, shredded mooks better than the Revenant X, even at I.  It no longer shreds mooks acceptably.

At least on the Cooldownless Krogan or Destroyer you would use the Typhoon on.

Harrier is more useful on the Krogan, Revenant on the Destroyer, as mook killers.

Should I take note that the fastest atlas slaying I have ever seen a GI pull off on video was 10 seconds, and this destroyer footage shows one going down in a little over 8 seconds?

The video I saw was 134 rounds. Must be barrel+AP? Maybe barrel+stability? Certainly not ammo mod.

Definitely have to run the math on this...

This kind of says that increasing the damage is more important than DR.   It known that AP ammo does not work with the Typhoon, so this performance is done by the EB and the AR Rail 3 and AR gear?

Not enough to kill? Did I make a math error somewhere? Triple-hits, maybe? Shield damage being rounded up multiple times?

The armor DR reduction may not work, at least on AP ammo IV. The bonus damage does work.

I told you in our PM converstation that EB would give a larger bonus then the AP mod anyhow.
That is, Without the glitch you told me about.

Uh... no? EB after ramp-up is worth 20.8125 damage. AP reduces armor reduction by 32.5. Both are then multiplied by 1.5x protection bonus (post-DR).

Wrong ..

Even for fully charged typhoon X 55.5 * 1.5 * 0.25 < 50*0.65

55.5 * 1.5 * 0.25 = 20.8125
50 * 0.65 = 32.5

Typhoon's base damage is so low that AP mod will give better damage vs armor than EB 25% extra damage (assuming no other armor weakening//piercing are in use ) ..

Devil's bargin. Hardest thing to break is armor, and armor will take more than half of your time, especially on Platinum. Too many tools good for ripping up shields and barriers.

Hardly matters, anyway. I'm still not volunteering for the AP mod unless it turns out it's bugged and giving triple or quadruple hits. :P

I calculated bullets to kill, not damage per bullet against armor.
Both the shields, and the armor got their own calculations.

In the end EB gave a better total bonus then the AP mod, due to the enemy not being a brute.

Armor will still take the majority of your bullets, yes.

However, obsessing over the armor half of its health is actually penalizing you.
Due to the fact that 12 damage per bullet on armor is not enough to outweigh the 20 damage per bullet you got stipping the shields.

You could be right for a solo Atlas, assuming you did your TTK calculations correctly. Still, it depends on your team as well. Kroguard with Reegar makes AP a better choice because the shield will last less than a second. Still hardly matters because of Warp Ammo making AP redunant (again, barring funny double-hit mechanics).

Incindiary ammo actually has a wonderous reaction with hitting shielded enemies with the Reegar:

When stipping the enemies shields, your incindiary ammo is applying stacking DOT based on the post shield multiplier damage... However, the DOT isn't ajusted back down when the shields break...
This leads to massive damge.

Especially when you rock the shredder mod with EB. B)
(Do note, the Reegar does 50% damage against armor anyhow, so you need to get a really good setup for the any anti-armor bonuses to matter much, beyond a humble shredder mod.)

Weapon mods used : Stability mod V + Extended barrel V

If i swap the AP ammo above with Incendiary/Warp ammo lvl 3 or 4 it leaves the atlas with 4-6 bars of armor i guess. Don't have a video for that though. Just experienced in-game.
