No idea what you're talking about. I've never been disconnected on Firebase Rio. Maybe you just have a lowsy connection?

+1 can't handle the bits

This is the problem that causes myself and many others to avoid the map.

I have never once been able to play Firebase Rio.  Everytime I joing a game and it goes to that map, it kicks me off of ME3 and all the way back to my X Box Home Screen.  I have uninstalled the Earth DLC and downloaded again but with no luck.

I'd love if they remove Rio from the Unknown Map rotation. It feels like russian roulette playing u/u because of the stupid freezing on that map. That's why my friends and I have been avoiding the map, someone (read: 2 people) will always freeze on that map.

But I'm sure it's all in my head only, since BioWare thoroughly tests stuff before they bring it out... wait, what?

I have had trouble with Rio, which is a shame, since I love the map. Client freezing, the ONLY case of it in ME3.

However, I haven't had any trouble there in the last... 3-4? games, so maybe the glitch is fixed?

Anecdotally, my only issue with the map is the insistence of most PUGs to camp in the middle. That said, I don't think I have ever used a character capable of teleportation on the map. I would have thought I would have been a victim of someone else causing the bug by now but I guess I just haven't played the map often enough to experience that joy. I do hope the problem gets fixed but don't think removing the map is the answer.

There should absolutely be a way to remove maps from the "unknown" cycle. Mupltiple times 2 of my PS3 buddies has got their machines hard-frozen on this map, every time with the pizza in one of their hands...

When my game crashes, or worse, my Xbox freezes, I'd say 9/10 times it's on Rio, and when it is on Rio, 10/10 times there was a Vanguard on the team.

I know correlation =/= causation, but still..

PLEASE REMOVE YOURSELF FROM THE FORUMS

Why would you write something like that as a response to the OP? Are you such a fanboy that you like even completely bugged stuff like the Rio Map? Everytime I played this map so far or listened to friends on my Xbox Live party playing on Rio at least ONE of the participating Xboxs froze completely. Sometimes even two Xboxs at the same time.

So why on Earth would you like such a behavior and not want Bioware to fix that problem???

As for the rest of this thread: /signed!

Leave the game when it comes up, if you don't like it. I love the map, even when it has bugs.

Wish they would fix the problems, but if they don't, they shouldn't remove the map. Because it's one of the great ones.

funny how the game is rock solid. The issue is the multiplayer side (the servers ) and netcode (bad syncing )

Connection problems are huge, simple things from the host's connection / machine / PC to your connection / machine / pc can cause problems, its not one isolated issue that bioware can simply wave their wand at and fix i don't think. Hell, the polish guys i play with get disconnected all the time while visiting the store in a lobby, I'm only 1hr time zone away from them (so not a hug distance) and I never experience any problems.

Also the distance that you are situated from your actual router in your house, and the distance you are situated from the actual internet exchange influences how frequently you DC.

Then there's the quality of your router, some internet companies make garbage routers, which drop connections really easily.

Perhaps run a diagnostics / speed test on your net, test out some of the above and try to find a problem on your end, because it is a problem with YOUR router / wiring / distance / machine / PC / connection, and not bioware's fault.

I live in Los Angeles.
Use Time Warner internet via Road Runner and have no problems on any other games or internet connections.
Speedtest.net gives me on average 25mb/s DL and 1mb/s UL.
I crash on Rio when hosting and when not hosting.
EVERY player I play with says they have the same problem or know people who have these problems with FB Rio map.

It is not much to ask the Devs to put a simple 'Opt out' of this map for Unknown/Unkown? I don't expect them to spend time and money fixing a simple map glitch on their end(when at least 50% of players have the problem, it is not up to Fanboy's to tell us to get lost) BUT any company worth a cent would just find SOME solution for those affected rather than having to quit out of it every time they get in it.

I've had more problems with Vancouver than any other map.

The only problems I've had were D-bags. I love the map-nice long sightlines

My only complaint concerning Rio so far is that I keep hosting U/U matches and somehow have gotten Rio 5/10 times.

Once, I got Condor. Just once.

Only problem with Rio?

People camping the bloody middle of the map....For the love of the spirits, move to the end of the map with the containers and even platinum becomes relatively easy as you get lots of time to shoot and kill the enemies as they come down the stairs and you have lots of cover..

Why do people insist on camping the middle spot allowing themselves to be sandwiched especially since that part of the map has very bad cover sights?

The map does seem to have some major bugs - I've been teleported back to the centre (space magic!) when using my Kroguard. I'm wondering if I've been inadvertently disconnecting people as well now...
