This is a community thread. Everyone so far shared their experience (ex: Yes I agree, or No I don't have an issue with it). That alone indicates that although it is an issue, it is not an issue that's affected EVERYONE greatly. We may have issues with lag but nothing that requires the removal of a map that some people (like myself), actually like and enjoy. I often select Rio for my Private matches because it's easy to navigate and have a lot of cover (for the most part in the Industrial/Port Sector). 

We're here to share our experiences on the MP portion of ME3. There may be 2 or 3 unneccessary comments on the thread, but it is by your own will whether or not you'll ignore it, or take it to heart. 

Please also note that anything that "addresses a real problem" should be forwarded to Bioware and Electronic Arts.

read what the OP actually said, OP is talking about removing it from the random map selection or a way to opt to have it left out of the random generator.
OP did not say the map should be removed entirely.

oh, the part about forwarding to BW or EA, yeah thats kinda why the OP made the thread title that way.
or do you some how think that threads like this on the forums are asking other players to remove the map... that would just be silly.

i have lost faith in this community for the most part and people like you are a shining example of whats wrong with the forums. 
further more, you do not read the entire main post and then post with only half the understanding of what the issue is.

the bugs on FB Rio do exist and they do break the game when triggered.
litterally peoples consoles freeze or pc's crash to desktop.
the bugs are linked to vanguards when they biotic charge, the vanguard does not get bugs nor does the host, but the other 2 players do.
it has to be done in specific places to trigger, read the "vanguard bug in rio thread" for starters.
 

i do not see how the above is so confusing.... but this is the BSN so i guess its normal around here.

Last time i played RIO Banshee go to me and ripped my guts out. But when she dropped me i fell over the fence and then respawned in that room were you end up at the beginning of the round....
Did it happen to anyone else ?

Just happened again. We had a n7 slayer vg in the group as well and he and 1 other got booted on wave 10.

Still a big problem.

Yeah, get in line behind all the other glitches. Certainly it's annoying, but not enough reason to remove one of the best maps in the game, not even from the U/U rotation. Complain all you want, just stop suggesting impractical/unnecessary solutions. I'm sure it'll get fixed as soon as they can manage (probably next patch), so either suck it up or stop playing the game, but Rio stays. If it suddenly gets 10 times worse I might be singimg a different tune, but this glitch isn't nearly game-breaking, so stop blowing it out of proportion.

It crashes to desktop for me about half the time when I play Rio. It's the only map it happens on.

I have reason to believe that using Heavy Melee on specific parts of the map trigger a disconnect, which would explain why Josh.de has had trouble using the Shadow (since the class is sometimes Melee-dependent) .

SS it's sort of a teleporting power, I believe the crash is caused by characters that teleport. Vanguards, Shadow, Fury, etc.

I've used the Shadow Strike on Rio and it's definitely crashed.  I'm told it may have something to do with going from one area and teleporting to one of the catwalks.  I also think if you're the host, you won't lose connection so that might be why some people are saying they never experienced this.

Why does this thread keep popping up on page one? Bioware knows about your issue. There's no way they're going to spend time and money coding a unique setting for one map that operates fine for the vast majority of players. IF it's not just a lag issue on the player end, you might get a backend fix in the next patch.

Stop wasting everyone's time and cluttering the forums. It's never going to happen.

Same, around half the time I play Rio, the game freezes up.

Are you saying that a map that crashes the whole game it's not worth looking into?
If it does not affect me it doesn't matter, right? :?

I find the biggest glitch involving pugs and their stubborn desire to defend the middle section of the map where you can get cluster@%$# from all sorts of wonderful directions.:pinched:

Disconnection problems happen equally on all maps for me.

I really like Rio, but it's the only map that continues to freeze my Xbox.
Every time it has happend, I was a class with Biotics and the enemies were Reapers or Geth.

Don't know about pulling it, but looking into the problem would be nice.

I have only had my console freeze once during a match on Rio and my friend's console froze at the same time. I don't believe that Rio should be removed, but it can be very annoying if it happens to anyone frequently.

No, I'm saying the solution you're proposing does not fit the problem for the vast majority of users. Bioware has been made aware of the problem, so stop cluttering up the forums with a bad idea.

Dude, if people stopped cluttering the forums with problems that BioWare apparently already knows about, the forum would basically slow to a trickle. Besides, this thread has mostly morphed into people noting that they've had problems with the map too, and not necessarily repeating the call to remove the map. 

I mean, I dig that removing a map is maybe not the greatest idea, but having more evidence (however anecdotal) that there are problems with a map is never a bad thing. If people don't tell the devs that there are serious problems with something, they won't know that there's something that needs fixing (regardless of whether it's fixable or not) (or whether they've got the budget/manhours/ok from EA to fix it) (conspiracy theories!).

Go re-read my OP please before posting your incorrect statements. How about for people like you with attention spans the length of a puppy on meth, you just manage to read the underlined part? Hmmkay... that would be great....

I am bringing attention to a big issue with the game. Thanks for you support of this thread, it has helped the Devs see that now 5 pages of people have supported my fix.
