No, only the Eagle, Valiant, Hurricane and Crusader are in the Commendation packs.
Typhoon and Pirahna are in the packs in the store.

I'm new to the whole community aspect of gaming and I have to say it sounds exciting. So I'm kind of glad the first op I'll be participating in is easy. I'll just promote any characters I already have at 20 then keep playing and promote them as soon as reach 20 to help everyone out. That boost to the medi-gel sounds helpful because it seems like we run out quick on the tougher difficulties. Well I'll be playing on my Xbox this weekend I hope we all have a good time.

looked through past ops - shieldwall had a goal of 50k, and that was 3 months ago, but raptor had 150k goal, and 350k promoted. ah, how far they have fallen.

I found that "easy" operations like this one are usually followed by operations with very hard requirements the community generally fails to achieve...
