Since when can we promote just a character? You promote the whole class, whether that's 1 or 5 characters in it.

Theres also the rank. I've been playing this game since its release but decided to stay at level 120, one of the reasons is because since its the top rank(without promoting) alot of ppl dont instantly dub me as a "noob". They may do that however if they see a level "160" compared to their quadruple-digit ranks. I'd be up there too if I cared about constant promoting, but I dont.

Its pretty stupid to care so much what others think I know (normally I wouldnt) but its difficult enough playing this game without having ppl kick/leave the game for little to reason, most of the time over that meaningless f-ing number next to your name. xP

The galaxy is at stake and you are concerned about your appearance, nooooo.  

Have they clarified whether this has to be from a lvl 1 start or not, i.e. if char now at say 15 and I lvl it during Op, do I qualify.  Or, if I lvl 20 a char and begin from 1 back up to 20 during the weekend ?  If the servers as bad as last one....well lvll'ing one char will be tricky from a standing start !

As to concerns re kicking by N7, this will always happen unless you are top of leaderboard with 11000+  More to do with not being able to make games private as you can with some so if one of friends slow to join you will take their place.  Not had many cases even then.  Just show  them how good you are in the match - "Simples"™ The ranking isn't meaningless, it goes towards single player goal as well I believe and if that helps get rid of tedious "fetch and carry" missions, I'm all for that.

This actually makes me glad that I decided not to promote my Shadow. I was THIS close to promoting her.

I also have a Vang who's pretty close. Should be there in a couple Silver games.

Why do some people always have to complicate things? It says promote two characters, nothing else. Nowhere it tells you to level them up.
