Not sure if this has happened to anyone else but it's happened to me twice.
When I defend the gates in the Human Origin, I am supposed to move forward to see my father in the Larder. Two different play throughs this has happened: I move to the door to leave the room to make my way to the Larder and the door remains locked and unable to be picked.
The first time I played as a Human Noble, this door unlocks right after the battle, now it doesn't seem to let me through. This is major because I can't go any further in the game. Nothing like 20 minutes of play time.
Has this happened to anyone else?

Yes it happened to me too. I wrote a bullet point about it before. I had to restart.

I didn't get stuck at this part, but something similar happened to me; it was when I initiated a cutscene while the "combat" was still going. I mean, the fighting had finished but I spoke to an npc before I was *supposed* to. Long story short, I had to reload to an earlier save and do it all again.

yes this happened to me, luckily I'd saved outside the door so just went to that save and it was fine.
If you're doing the human noble starting area then save outside the door to the main hall

best way to avoid these types of things happening is to not speak to important NPCs while theres a fight going on (you should be to busy to chat up the locals anyway..just kidding). Seriously though. Once combat is finished (this can sometimes takes the game a few seconds to realize, especialy if the game/PS3 has been running for a while and the console is hot), wait for the NPC to speak to you. if you try to speak to them before their conversation script has a chance to trigger, then your probably going to break that conversation trigger.
