I think it depends on your playing style, but I personally would choose SI + Black Widow + Scorpion for gold and QFI + Indra for platinum.

I'm a little skeptical of the people who run 6/6/6/6/0 builds. To me, it just seems like a way to prove your manhood. There's no way that an extra 200 damage on Proxy Mine or an extra couple of seconds of recharge speed (which supposedly doesn't matter for an infiltrator) is more valuable than the 40% health and shield bonus you get from having those 6 points in fitness. If you really NEVER go down on Gold or Platinum, then by all means, do no points in fitness. But based on my calculations, the number of people who actually never go down in Gold or Platinum is approximately 3.18% of the people who say they never go down.

Recharge speed is actually more beneficial if you take damage than if you take duration. The cooldown on Cloak isn't based on the amount of time you spend in Cloak, it's based on the percentage of the maximum time you spend in Cloak. If you take Duration, you can spend 3-4 seconds in Cloak and have basically the minimum cooldown. If you take Damage and spend 3-4 seconds in Cloak, you will have close to the maximum cooldown.NuclearTech76 wrote...
Damage plus recharge speed does not compute for me? I could see it if you took duration I guess.

I think the sniper is probably the perfect sniper build for me. However, for the shotgun build, I would take Radius and Damage Reduction for Ranks 4 and 6 of ED. The damage additions don't do that much extra damage, and you might actually do more total damage by hitting more targets with radius. Also, radius allows you to stun a couple of enemies for a second if they close in on you, and DR increases your survivability. Putting 6 points in fitness instead of ED6 and TC5 would work too.
Yes, you are probably right. In fact I personally use the sniper build for my SI so it is the one that I really tried to get the best possible build. When I want to use a shotgun I play a GI or a Paladin

If you camp on a place, get covered by your partners, don't contibute to the objectives and perform little healing outside your camp, than it is playable with zero fitness, but I prefer to be the healer and objective-man so at least a little bit of health and shields is mandatory.

anyway i was playing GI + piranha and bigger maps he almost kept up with me on the score board.
he was a badass too, so it may not have made much of a difference what he played.
point is, im only posting to say SI builds are very viable on platinum.
good hunting and dont forget to have fun!!

...Really? I've only taken my QFI through gold, and while fun to play she seemed a little... underwhelming. Then again, I have been playing the Fury and GI a ton, so that might skew my perspective.

Yes, on gold she is not that good. However, Platinum is full of Primes, Atlas, Cerberrus Turrets and Geth in general, so she can find allies on every corner using sabotage

Not very good on Platinum unfortunately... Not enough damage to be really helpful. Platinum is the realm of my GI.

The Valiant fires and reloads nearly instantly, so no worries about stripping shields completely with the power - just fire again. Also if you get flanked, it's a free extra full shield +40% DR above the gate.
Otherwise solid build. I find I strongly prefer Geth for CQC though, just for wallhax.
