I am sure it makes sense to other people, but to me, renting gear sounds absolutely awful. Would not go near a game that had such mechanics.

I love these game companies lol. 95%, "Oh, we didn't meet expectations, must be pirates", we would have sold millions of more copies of our crappy games.
I don't have a problem with things like logging into bioware social or whatever from a game I own, but the company in question here produces games so full of copyright protection that the games don't even work for legit users.
Whatever, every time I hear about the death of PC gaming I just laugh now; been through 20 years of that BS. Kickstarter for the win, GOG for gold, those are the places where PC gamers can be heard loud and clear.
