also, good and evil relativism? please.

Please what? I know the developers explicitly stated that there was a well-defined good/evil system and mapped everyone on it- Oh wait, they didn't. That's right, they did the opposite and explicitly stated that it's a pretty grey world with few moral absolutes.

If you're seeing stark rights and wrongs, you're painting your own preconceived notions of right an wrong on the game.

is it evil to abandon your king to die on a battlefield? imprison and torture the innocent? (well, you know, i had a good reason....)

there are many dark areas to this game. i liked that. life has many dark areas, often inhabited by those who are shades of grey.

ahh, i am as god made me.

Morrigan is a complex character, but I would still classify her as having evil tendencies. Of course, I think evil exists in RL, so it's easy for me to say that. Morrigan wanting to abandon the elves to slavery isn't a good thing, and if she were in their position, she wouldn't think it was a good thing either. I would say she lacks perspective on her end (which is a perfectly acceptable character flaw for a character in a story).

It's odd, because Morrigan and Viconia from BG share a lot of character traits, but I found Viconia to be much more sympathetic . . . I'm not quite sure why, yet, though.

I am getting tired of this discussion, but I would like to draw your attention to the fact that she does not want the elves to be slaves, it is an unnecessary risk. There are three known grey wardens in Ferelden, which will be obliterated unless one of those three kills it (by killing the archdemon).

To draw a parallel to the real world, you know that children die of starvation every day, yet most people do nothing about that fact. Does that make you evil?

i know that if i would simply stop chating on forums all starvation and war would end. and yet as much as i tire of this discussion, i chose to kill children.

Agreed... but the same goes for if you're not. ;)

Hyperbole aside, the time you spend here could be spent on helping those in need, yes. There are plenty that die through our individual and collective inaction. That doesn't make us evil.

I've already argued this one in another forum, so I'm well-equipped to make the point here. ;)

It is not at all evil to abandon your king if you think him a dangerous fool that risks your country on fantasies of glory when he should be spending time ensuring that real threats from other nearby nations are resisted. In fact, one could think of it at doing a public service to protect your nation.

Has anyone descovered any way to make Morrigan good ? (like in ME with Ashley)
Also is there any way to make her actually "love" you ?

No and why would you?

In the game I played, Morrigan left right after the battle with the Archdemon.
She stuck it through til the end then took off, although one of the little vignets at the end of the game said that she was missing my character, and felt 'sorrow and regret' or something like that. It seemed to leave open the possibility that in a future expansion or game you could further explore the relationship?

That's what Sandal wants you to think.

Sandal is the Bruce Lee of this game.. standing in the middle of all those bodies, all bloody. He could easily solo the Archdemon.
