Ever seen people deliberately avoid helping on objectives?

The added time plus the (admittedly not huge amount of) credits lost from not getting the time bonus.Uchimura wrote...
It's pretty annoying when it ends up doubling the time it takes to get through it.

I play with Adept on platinum and participate of theses missions nonetheless. I just give heads up that will be close to the strongest character, so if I fall, they can revive me without much problem. At least I think it is better than to let then do the objective while I hide in a corner...

I am curious about that. If they think it doesn't matter—that it doesn't go faster with more people (and thus award more credits)—then it's somewhat more acceptable. That said, with the VO guy yelling at you the entire time, I don't know how you could.ayume wrote...
I don't understand why people don't help the Hack and the Drone escort on Gold and Platinum. Are they aware that it goes faster if there is 4 players doing the objective?
In the map in question, one had an N7 rating of 118, the other 145. That's newish, but I'm not sure it's new enough to excuse that.

Not to mention, BEs are really helpful if you get swarmed while hacking/escorting. I never play adept, but love stolling alongside a Fury during an escort.

Well it depends on the objective. With the drone I would help more often than not. However, some times it is better to act as the distraction/decoy on the opposite side of the map. I know I hate it when people try to "help" me deactivate the nodes or carry the pizza.
I agree with you on the nodes. If you have an infiltrator set up for duration in the group, that infiltrator should pretty much solo the nodes. Being cloaked doesn't mean much if you're getting pummeled by a prime's heavy weapon while he's shooting at the uncloaked guy standing next to you.
As for the other part, no attack meant on you, but from my own experiences, I don't really buy into the whole "I'm pulling them away from you" thing. Clearing the way or serving as rearguard for a pizza delivery is great, but I've been stuck solo hacking on wave 10 while three other players were running around killing things. The only effect I noticed was that as the enemy was killed, new enemies spawned close to the objective. My shadown was left alone in the hack area to fend off waves of engineers, atlases, phantoms, etc. By the time the hack was done, I was almost out of ammo, had fired three missiles when multiple atlases tried to overrun my position, and had spammed ES like I've never done before or since.
About 90% of the way through the hack, saw a "teammate" go down just outside the hack circle. I took out the enemy that killed him, then watched with glee from just inside the circle as he bled out just outside the circle. Why? Because screw him. He didn't help me, and the hack was taking long enough already without me leaving the circle too. I got to the hack circle within 10 seconds of the timer starting, and I completed the objective with about a minute left. Anyway, if you could really pull a bunch of enemies away from a hack, that objective shouldn't have been anywhere near as hectic as it was.

Usually I bring up the credit bonus for time on the mic and when people don't help after that I instruct the other team mates not to res the person.

Yes I guilty of that.
Whilst three other looking after the drone or the pizza carrier, I shoot and take the heat from them.
Here I am shooting at AI and the other three looking after the drone or the pizza carrier.
It happen on Tuesday night Australian time) in Jade silver against geth.
Yes guilty of that.
I was the Krongan Battlemaster with the shotgun and the heavy pistol at that time.

Not that it matters a whole lot in most cases, because they'll just respawn right next to the hack unless the guy kiting is actively blocking a spawn.
I have yet to play a PUG where the guy herping and derping around outside of the hack zone even knows how the spawns work.

and?
better to have them respawn constantly in one side and avoid them from swamping the guys hacking or doing objectives..
You dont seem to have encountered a bulk of Primes, pyros and everything in the same place.. because all guys decided to go to the objetive zone?

I do it only to draw the enemy away from the objective. Otherwise I help on the objective.
This. If you're farming, and you see a lvl 20 Demolishor spamming arc grenades at those two Primes stuck in the hallway, that's me. If there's a Novaguard not in the circle with you screaming her head off at a ludicrously overpowered mob, that's me.
I'm also the reason they're not spawning in front of you as you're carrying that piece of Reaper tech back to the LZ.

If farming in a room with a Decoy, 3 people can do the Escort while the Decoy draws all the enemies (if they come to the room).
But if it's some douche running around avoiding an area upload, they will be kicked in the lobby
